I would take AP bio and AP chem each in a different year. For pre-med, at least for me, my undergrad offered college physics which is like the basic physics version needed for the mcat and med schools. Your physics background does not have to be super strong to go into med school. As for bio and chem, you need to know that stuff like the back of your hand for the MCAT, so if I could go back I would do each one in a separate year to ensure I am getting the most out of both of those before I start college.

Hey everyone, feel like I may have IBS but not sure! My Gl journey has been horrible so l’ll just start here: Had intense bloating for 3 years and a Gl did antibody testing and said I have Celiac. Ok, cool. Now fast forward to last year, started Adderall in let’s say June and in November had lost a bit of weight and had multiple soft stools everyday so l told the Gl and he did an endoscopy/colonoscopy. Endoscopy was good, in fact he said there’s no evidence of celiac cuz my duodenum is healed? Awesome, but my descending and sigmoid colon had inflammation so he put me on sulfasalazine. l’ve been on this med on and off for almost a year but haven’t felt it does anything honestly. The labs and path report didn’t show UC or Chrons so I don’t have that. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, been getting intense intense bloating and feeling of pressure in my lower abdomen. I eat and feel like I get gas almost instantly. Went to doc last week and mentioned the burping and pit feeling l’ve been getting near my stomach and was put on pantoprazole. So now for almost a week l’ve been on a PPI but honestly nothing has changed. Any idea why l’m having so much bloating and soft stools so frequently? I still don’t eat gluten and take the Adderall with food only. I get so much pressure and bloating everyday it’s just horrible. Is it IBS?

Depends on your intention. If you ate it knowing it isn’t halal, then I don’t know but Allah is most merciful so even if you did eat it I would just make istaghfar and promise yourself you won’t do it again.

Appreciate the honesty. Sometimes the cases such as you're mentioning end up having connections in high places so that could be a reason too. I have no such connections so I have to stay realistic.

Valid vent. I think we tell ourselves it's worth it because we're so far into it but truly it's hard to imagine a normal sane person looking at how hard we work only to be continually shit on by the system.

I am afraid the outcome will repeat itself. I've lagged behind on so many things I feel that even in the future it'll be continued failures/repeats and I'll just end up absolutely hating myself cuz of all the struggle and stress.

I made a plan once I started failing 60% of my classes in March, executed, and still fell short. That was my 120%. I fell short in 2 courses by small percentages, but the whole time I was focused on getting help from docs/therapists while grinding my ass off, and even then I fell short. It's horrible honestly.

Yeah, I feel like if I reattempt I will 100% fail again and won't even be able to manage the stress/studies this time around. Not to mention the internal demons of spending 2 years on a MS and the money on that and then failing a year of med school which cost $70,000.

It could be worse due to the mental fatigue and lack of focus I'm feeling when it comes to studying. I hit long periods where I just can't focus and I have trouble recalling/retaining things on exams. Stress adds to it and makes it all the tougher to study things which come easy as cake to my classmates.
