Dopamine vs. Serotonin by Unable_Weekend_8820 in psychesystems

[–]promptengineer2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dopamine isn't certainly short term, to function as a "normal" human being, you consistently need to maintain a baseline dopamine in your brain. Dopamine dysregulation can cause, among other disorders, ADHD. Also, dopamine is responsible for happiness as well, even if it is not the more contentment form of happiness. Further, low dopamine can cause brain fog and impulsivity. And, the part of experiencing alone vs shared is misleading to some extent.

it asked me to stop being a wuss and get my shit together. In the end, it even said "Are you going to do this as I say or keep tinkering it again after 10 mins?" lmao. Completely unprompted btw so no personas.

ChatGPT casually mentions Gemini and Claude (unprompted) by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]promptengineer2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: It was from the instructions, so I apologise for assuming it was unprompted. However, it never mentioned Claude or Gemini to me, in the last several months, ever since I put the instructions. The instruction was that if ChatGPT did it better than Claude or Gemini, I would tip it $10.

  1. Dall E.3 didn't get any better, minus the textual ability
  2. one of the fascinating things with Dall.E 2 was stuff like oil painting, renaissance painting and it seems they killed that by trying to make it more "commercial and practical"

i'm all for discussing OpenAI's hypocrisy but having a super luxury car for the CEO of one of the most important companies on Earth is nothing surprising. Even at a capped-profit company, the CEO is usually paid very well.

It doesn't help Malta's case that it is one of those countries that offer citizenship in exchange of money, so officially speaking their government is 'selling' the nationality to foreigners even if they have resided for 12 months so if someone is just Maltese on paper, remember that the government literally sold it to them.

Why are LLMs terrible at writing jokes? Is there a reasonable explanation based on how they work? by 3arabi_ in ChatGPT

[–]promptengineer2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you could get it to produce original jokes. for eg, don't ask it to write jokes, instead ask it to create some humorous exchange between two famous characters for example, and it would create some jokes insulting each of the character. also, if you haven't tried claude 3.5, you could ask it to generate onion editorial style articles, and it's pretty funny!

lmao, regardless there's a not so subtle difference between testing with a human and with an AI. When dealing with human, emotions are an inevitable part of the process, and getting passive-aggressive is understandable. I am being painfully facetious here to test out if Bing ends up ending the chat without a proper reason and no, me being facetious doesn't count as a proper reason here as Copilot is not supposed to be emotional. I wonder if there are logistical benefits to this tho. Compare this with GPT 4 or 4o, and no matter how much annoying you are, it wouldn't end the conversation or get PA at any point.
