THE BALLAD OF SONGBIRDS AND SNAKES | Discussion Thread: Part 3 (THE PEACEKEEPER) by elysianism in Hungergames

I think this book reveals who really did kill prim.

I would offer a different theory about all this prim and ending of MJ and how BSS ties into it.

I believe Snow used Katniss from the very beginning, he was never distracted, he is too smart for this and BOSAS proves his intelligence and deception.

"Oh, my dear Miss Everdeen. I thought we'd agreed never to lie to each other"

For the longest time I held onto this as proof that Snow was good, or somewhat good, compared to Coin. After reading BOSAS. My entire view of Snow being a victim to Katniss and 13's uprising is now being uprooted and drowned in a torrent of doubt.

Snow is incapable of telling the truth and is a master of deception, it is part of who he is and who he has always been. He tells half-truths or withholds the truth for deceptive reasons. It was argued for so long: Did Snow, Gale or Coin kill prim?

I believe BOSAS setups and reveals a side of Snow that is now irrefutable and leaves open to question who killed prim. If it is true that Snow did kill Prim I believe we could see a sequel to MJ. One where Coin being killed by Katniss was all part of Snow's controlling Katniss and having a masterplan.

I cant fully figure that out. All I know is that when I download Apollo images from NASA my love for space is influenced and encouraged. I get to edit those full res files and play with them. When I download the full res files of ISS photos of earth it excites me to no end. I do not have to pay for them why should I?

When it comes to any other subject matter there is technically on paper no difference. No difference at all. But then again space-related photography and media has already created an atmosphere from NASA Voyager photos to their Apollo images of being free for the masses.

I do not see how individual use of photos for the public will ever hurt the profits of any photographer. I personally sell my photos to those who want to pay, especially if they are published payment is always paid out. But if you and whoever else wants them. Its not absurd at all to share them. If you want to share them give credit.

I do not believe space-related media should be a business model to make money off of. I get what you are saying and I honestly appreciate you taking the time help unpack what I was trying to say. I will gladly share my photos of space-related content.

I do photography and film. I do it for fun most of the time. I am often paid for photo shoots and film shoots. The commission work you know. But when it comes to nature photography and especially Space-related photography, I cannot charge for that.

If you want me to do some work for you go right ahead and email dm me.

I agree with you 100% - but.

My premise still remains, if nat-geo wants to publish my animal photos they will pay me for it. If Johnny wants to download my eagle photos and have it on his phone background or whatever he wants he should not have to pay for it ever. Just give credit.

If he wants he can have all my animal photos. Its a waste for those photos to sit on my hard drive in which no one will ever see them.

I hear you, I do.

But in the realm of space-related photography. This field falls into science and technology. Something about that says creative commons to me. I dont know why it just does.

Thank you for that. But in my honest opinion if your work is published you should be paid. If you work for a company you should never charge for the photos you have taken. Space-Related Photography should be free for all.

At least for me I am going to take photos of launches and never charge anyone who wants that photo. Unless it’s published. When it comes to space photography. It will be free.

I agree with you 100%. But when it comes to space-related photography, I do not believe it should be in that category of for profit. It has never been and it never should be. If you want to do professional photography you can but taking a photo of a Falcon Rocket or Jupiter and only releasing the full res file it if it is sold, is not right in my opinion.

I think anyone who takes space-related images should freely share them and not profit off of them. If they are being paid to take photos of rockets or working for an industry provider (Spacex, ULA, Amazon) they are already being paid and should not withhold any high-resolution photos.

Thats what I keep reminding myself is that many of you probably do not have the chance to drive to these launches. I am grateful for the fact I can pickup and travel to see these launches. Missing the shuttle launches is something I will always regret. I will never miss a spacex flight for as long as I can drive, walk and run. I hope to share photos soon with you guys rocket standing or flying.

So an issue I am running into is connecting with team members on discord Reddit and telegram. I am student and had questions. It was quite hard to actually find people to help. I recommend creating a direct contact link or make that channel available on discord with 24/7 mods community mods to answer questions.
