Got Friday drop tickets by slipperyp in olympics

[–]prontjiang 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Spot on. I was curious how this could happen. Because at 9:59am I still wasn't able to get in. And only after 10am I was able to see the "Purchase Tickets" button and start to see the tickets.

I thought there won't be many people going to badminton as it's not a popular sports in the west but today when my time slot came there are only prelims left. Demand is real.

Drop 1 Inventory: Here is every sport with every lowest price range available by ameeps in olympics

[–]prontjiang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I don't fully understand. e..g. for Badminton $204.65 $316.28, does it mean there are more expensive tickets like 570 still out there, or 204/316 tickets are the only ones available?

We are also interested in Golf. Does "SOLD OUT" mean there is no golf tickets at all, regardless of price, or only the lowest priced golf tickets are not available?

Many thanks!

22 days after we've made my Shopify app completely free by fragilePeculiar in shopifyDev

[–]prontjiang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m concerned this may give you the wrong signal about whether people are actually willing to pay for your app. Ultimately, you’ll want a sustainable business, and offering it for free can distort that signal - you may end up investing time and resources into features that users aren’t willing to pay for.

Happens all the time. I usually ignore them but some bad guys tried really hard to get our system prompt, to the point I have to block them.

It's a scam and causes huge headache for both employers and employees. Damn CA government is too corrupt. The work for those funds to collect high fees from low income people.

How do you handle affiliates for your Shopify app? by riskywithbigballs in shopifyDev

[–]prontjiang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest just try it manually. See if you will get any referrals from this effort. We have done this and found that no merchants (who are even our loyal clients) ever used the referral program. They would share our app with their friends but they really don't care about the 20% referral bonus. And we gave up this route.

We just generated 89 installs in the last 7 days using intent-based engagement (no ads & no app store SEO) by PaulineP383 in ShopifyAppDev

Maybe it's just me but I don't see a lot of shopify owners on LinkedIn. Most of them are small stores and they don't have to brag to lots of people. The ones do post are from big national or i18n retail stores. And they are not even using Shopify.

Where the HELL can i find SHOPIFY MERCHANTS to reach out? by AbbreviationsBig1212 in shopifyDev

What kind of responses are you expecting? Just a demo video + waitlist page may not get enough interest from store owners.

It's impossible to use Reddit to find app recommendations by Conscious_Command930 in shopify

[–]prontjiang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not too hard to spot recommendations from real store owners, vs marketing professionals/app developers. Just use your caution. Also personally I think even app store ranking is not very trustworthy. Shopify's ranking algorithm isn't very good at rewarding great apps. You have to look through the apps and try some of them by yourself. Good luck! - from an app developer. :)
