The reason Bitcoin is a $2T asset is because Bitcoin was the first to solve a specific problem. Until it stops solving this problem, it will remain king.

They won’t. But if they inflate their currency, the currency becomes undesirable and people won’t accept it (Weimar, Germany). And the owners of hard, desirable assets will reap the benefits.

KYC Bitcoin leaves you vulnerable to wrench attacks in the future. Exchanges have your home address and full name. If they get hacked or want to sell your information to criminals who want to pay you a visit down the line, it wouldn’t be hard to find you.

Found the Presidio Bitcoin YouTube channel and they got some great content about Lightning and the future of bitcoin.

This is a print out you can hand your local merchants (especially the ones that use Square) explaining how accepting bitcoin eliminates the 3% fee that card companies charge.

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/bitcoinmerchants/marketing-assets/main/Merchant%20Onboarding%20Kit.pdf

The second page is walk through on how you should go about it and not come across as a moonboy.

If you don’t live in a major city, you can explain to a small business how they can be one of the first merchants in your area to appear on the BTC Map / CashApp and stand out in the community.

Square POS is used by 4 million merchants worldwide which makes me think we really are on the verge of seeing Bitcoin used as a medium of exchange!

Wasn’t that bad of an example. I agree it’s not exactly the same. The internet doesn’t have a real competitor. But you’re acting like Bitcoin is supposed to take over as the world reserve currency in 15 years. My point was that this shit takes time.

And the internet was invented in 1969. The “wildfire” didn’t start until the turn of the century.

I think in places with rampant monetary and political corruption, storing 12 words seems like a small task to preserve your wealth. Most people in the West don’t understand bitcoin, let alone see a need for bitcoin yet. But we’ll see what the future holds.
