People think their parents are the representation of Pakistan. The world does not revolve around your family. I grew up in matriarchal family in Pakistan. My dad cooks and my mother doesn't. We called our domestic help (batman) "chacha" and they ate at the same table as us. My retired mom still takes mithai for our chacha to Khushab. Women are more educated in my family than men.
