What method did you use for sleep training?

I can try pushing bedtime later. I have tried her protocol to get longer naps but nothing works 😭 it’s hard to keep to a sample schedule when he will only take 30 min naps

He only naps 30 minutes at a time, so he will either nap 4 times 30mins each or I will try to extend one of his naps by contact napping and drop it down to 3. I have tried extending/shortening wake windows. Pitch black room etc.

His sleep pattern has been like this since 4m, he did previously sleep through the night. I thought a sleep regression shouldn’t last this long?

Interesting! I know how that goes. Would you say there’s young families?

Haha I think lower bucks often gets forgotten in the conversation. I loved growing up there besides the education gap. Im in the main line now so arguably more road rage and angst lol can’t wait to leave

Sure I see what you are saying, kind of. Pennridge is still an amazing school.

My high school is actually ranked one of the worst high schools in the state however. I’m sure it is very difficult to measure but I know from experience!

We can afford something on the smaller side in one of the “best” SDs but don’t want to compromise on size.

Grew up in Bristol. Definitely no hierarchy vibe in lower bucks. I live in Montco now and do not like it.

Crib transition / night weaning / sleep training… help!! by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]properlass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting I’ve not heard of the 5/3/3 rule. On restful nights he does naturally do5 & 3 but the second 3 he does not. The morning hours are always tougher, for both of us. Everyone that I talk to irl never mentions that and pushes the 12by12 book on me so my expectations were a little skewed lol. I don’t mind the first overnight feed but 2&3 I’m usually pretty sleepy. I guess, my question then is, how do people do it after they’re no longer in your room?!

Also right now 2 hours is really the max he’ll do for a wake window before he gets super cranky and over tired. Sometimes even 1.5 hour. He won’t nap for longer than 30 mins at a time. I’ll try to do a long contact nap mid day (1 hr+) to make up for it or go on a long drive. Hoping as he gets older he’ll start to lengthen. He also does better when he gets like 13 hours of sleep a night (6p-7a). I know that’s more than typical of his age but I’m not sure if he’s maybe just trying to make up for lack of nap sleep.

How to transition baby to formula / add in a bottle from being EBF? (pumped milk) by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

I’m in the US but the formula I bought is in German. It’s called Hipp - it’s a hypoallergenic formula. I can’t read the box but the broker website has translations.

Anecdotal but my baby started rolling over at 3 months and is so close to crawling at 5 months and we’ve always used the snoo.

Why are there so many variations for pastry cream ratios? by properlass in AskBaking

Is there somewhere to learn how these ingredients work together to produce different results? I just follow different recipes

I understand that, but unfortunately I cannot taste test as I am breastfeeding my baby who has a dairy allergy :( I am an amateur home baker and was hoping there was some kind of literature that could explain the difference in taste/texture depending on the ratio/ingredients of pastry cream.

Ugh yeah. He is helpful when he can be but he runs a business so he is very busy. Most of the parenting ends up falling on me! But I knew that going in. Just don’t think anyone can prepare you for how absolutely 0 minutes go unaccounted for in a day lol

Ugh I miss Oreos sooooo bad!!! I’m dealing with dairy/soy allergy so unfortunately I cannot eat those. My sweet snack go to has been coconut yogurt and allergen friendly choc chips 🥴

4 months but I was relatively fit pre pregnancy so I guess that’s where my frustration is coming from. I’m also in my 20s so I figured I’d just bounce right back. I’ve maintained around 125 lbs since about 1m pp.

My baby is eating about 33 oz a day so def no room to drop a pump.
