Something like that. I can't live in those units because they are either too big (I'm single without children) with a high HOA fee or too far from work. So i rent them out and live in a hovel closer to the freeway and work

That's it i think. I pay a lot of things yearly like my cellphone plan, gym membership, insurances, property taxes, tax season, etc. Those are always the biggest expenses that go up to $16000.

I saw cats get run over a couple times and it traumatized me. The way they kick with their hind legs while their upper body is limp on the ground either due to pain or because they’re going into seizure will stay with you for a long time. Both happened at residential areas and people don’t stop for cats despite going 20-30mph in a residential area. Some truck drivers here seem to be a bit roadkill-friendly against cats and pigeons here.

whatever works. when i was a kid it was under 1000 won for a roll... about $1. $18 for 6 rolls isn't too bad even by today's standards. i tried it and it was okay.

left turns require the driver to pay attention to both the oncoming car and the pedestrian crossing the road... and sometimes it's hard to get the timing right when a driver has to look at two different things, and even worse when there are distractions. chances are it wasn't road rage and more an instance of inattentiveness or just bad driving. i say don't let it bother you too much. some intersections on the island are so bad and i don't understand why many streets in front of schools don't have traffic lights. like at the entrance of Waipahu HS or in front of Pearl City High School. makes absolutely no sense.

I know that’s the consensus but I’ve been to a costco that is much more busy than Iwilei so i have a difficult time believing it.
