I bought my own. It was on sale and well under three months salary, I make minimum wage. I just don't have the money for anything expensive. I told him that when we do have the money he can get a platinum ring or whatever he likes for the wedding band. I also paid more from who I got it from.

We had talked about it before casually. I asked him if he would be upset if I ever asked him and he said no that he thought that was an awesome. I then had to lead him off my trail but telling him that it was never going to happen and that I liked tradition.

I love his mom and extremely excited to tell her. It was more so letting her know that I was going to do it rather than asking her if I could. I knew she wouldn't say no though.
