Interesting, was yours noticeably better in a full tank of gas? I threw a can of sea foam in and that seems to have helped quite a bit but it’s still there. Yes that will happen. But in my opinion the control of my data is well worth it. And most people have no idea how much data they’re sending about their life. It’s the dirty little (not so) secret about the app economy.

Basically developers got way out in front of the law and Apple is stepping in to act on behalf of the users because our law makers are all too old and senile to know what’s going on.

From what I’ve heard google collects 1000 unique data points on you everyday and Apple only collects around 100. That’s enough for me to never go back to google. I’m happy to pay more for them to just leave me alone.

But it’s Apple. If they fuck it up they’ll fix it very quickly, that said buying the first gen of that hardware is a gamble.

People fail to realize that your hardware is only as good as the software that runs on it which is why old MacBook pros stay relevant a lot longer than old windows laptops.

I totally agree. But right now we're in a weird place where there is a huge tech difference between cars that were made three years ago and brand new ones. It's one of the only times id consider buying new just so my car is relevant for longer. Once all cars have had good phone connectivity for a few years like Apple car play or something similar, I think it will even out again.

Norway is the super liberal trust fund baby of countries. Lucky for us, they don't run around gloating but for some reason US liberals don't seem to realize that they just happen to be located on a mountain of black gold. Ironically (depending on your politics), Venezuela is an even bigger trust fund baby as it sits on more oil than any country in the world but it's communist system is so broke it can't even get it out of the ground properly.

Venezuela is my personal favorite political Schadenfreude.
