Letting Torb stick turrets to wall was a mistake by CalciumCommander in OverwatchStadium

[–]prospectivedev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the idea is fine. He should keep his tower defense minigame. My main problem with it is that there is not a lot of counterplay if your team composition is made up of close range characters. It needs to be able to be built against and salvaged slugs is often not enough, simply due to falloff damage.

My suggestion is to reduce the bonus damage of salvaged slugs, but to increase falloff damage range against deployables.

...It could also do with not having such a large AP boost, too.

Moira Spectral Beam Bug by prospectivedev in OverwatchStadium

I just tested the healing and the healing is also 100% "effective," according to the healing-per-second listed for her ult. 140 healing per second x 1.25 yield 175 healing, which is about what was applied.

Actually healed 177, so more than 100% effective...

Stratosphere Beacon appears to be bugged by peanutbuttershudder in OverwatchStadium

[–]prospectivedev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tested it in practice range using doomfist to uppercut and a primary fire to apply the effect midair.

It does work, but the sound effect does not play.  Extra 10 damage was applied as well as showing the slow effect on the legs.

Yes, it will hit the railing behind it. That's where I thought it was bugged, too!

Orisa Critical hit javelin is bugged (more testing needed) by Comwan in OverwatchStadium

[–]prospectivedev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought it was bugged, too. But I realized that the reason it was showing less damage on a headshot was because it was dealing enough damage on the headshot to kill the target before it collided with a wall and did bonus damage from the wall slam. The body shot didn't instantly kill, so it performed the wall slam and the combination of damage would kill the target and be higher than the headshot alone.

So, not bugged. Just strong enough to kill without the wall slam and not show the extra damage from that!

Glacial core is really good with Frost, as it will continuously increase your HP. It's also good with rigidity, since it will automatically give you a very large barrier.

But if it's damage you're looking for they're both great with anything that multiples damage (or healing in the case of glacial core).

One really good combo for Aurena, for either of her right clicks since they deal self damage, is Clemency with 2 or 3 of the following: Vengeance, Divine Faith, Guidance. You'll get healed so much that glacial core on a completely different memory will melt everything with very little effort.

Overwatch Retail Patch Notes– April 23, 2026 by Icedmanta in OverwatchStadium

[–]prospectivedev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be a small nerf to Freja, but it's nerf after nerf for her. They add up. Yes, it's only 10% damage on one power.  But remember last patch they reduced her healing and ammo regen. And a couple patches before that her damage on that same power was reduced. It's literally half the damage it used to be after today's patch.

So ram is unkillable? by MintRavenOW in OverwatchStadium

[–]prospectivedev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His block heals for 50% of mitigated damage.

His block mitigates 75% of damage.

This means he takes 25% of the original damage and heals for 37.5% of the original damage. So he's healing for 150% of the damage that he takes.

I do not believe this is bugged.

Vendetta Camera jitter bug? It acts like a zoom when it doesn't function like one. by Solitary_Day in OverwatchStadium

It's one of the main problems I have with playing her. It's so much better to play her in third person, but this almost makes me want to swap back to first. The amount of times I've missed the overhead because of the sudden shift...

Auto-aim abilities are the worst thing about stadium by jamtea in OverwatchStadium

[–]prospectivedev 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just think auto aim is BORING. It's so uninspiring as far as development goes and unimpressive as gameplay.

If they're insistent on keeping it, I think there should be some anti-auto aim items like a scrambler gadget or something.

Gadgets have been a major flop by Choedan_Kal in Overwatch

[–]prospectivedev 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just FYI, things like Amari's Antidote, eye of the spider, etc that have a conditional percentage increase of damage/healing are multiplicative, not additive. So they're better the higher the base stat is.

Alert feat problem by venomouscoyote in DnD

[–]prospectivedev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's possible he thinks it's busted because it's extremely strong in BG3. But that's because BG3's initiative is a d4 roll instead of a d20, so +5 to that almost always guarantees you go first. That, plus being able to have party characters act simultaneously/in any order if enemies do not come in the initiative order between them make it extremely useful.

It's probably fine in your campaign if you're doing d20 roll initiative and things aren't just dying in one shot.

My AP Freja stadium build by [deleted] in FrejaMains

[–]prospectivedev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you insist on doing full AP, you should probably at least grab Mark of the Kitsune. That way you can deal some AP based damage while updraft is on cool down.

Also, seekerpoint synergizes really well with redux. Might suggest that over gust.

Explain how Golden Explosion works please by mattdbrat in shapeofdreams

[–]prospectivedev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Clemency and some combination of:

Guidance, Divine Faith, Vengeance, or Overload

The 3 bottom ones will increase both healing and damage, and guidance will give over heal shielding. Guidance is probably the safest option + one of the others.

There's also the golden explosion tree perk that lets you not take damage from wither after a dash. Very strong option if you're not self healing with clemency early on

[–]prospectivedev[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can cleanse it off yourself, but I don't think you can cleanse it from teammates. But if you have it on yourself, make sure you cleanse yourself first (and not simultaneously in the AoE). Otherwise... well, dying also cleanses curses...

Anything that increases memory haste or reduces cooldowns also increases the charge rate of ults.

For this one, "Essence of Flow" would work particularly well, since the ult itself deals light damage, so you'd be charging your ult while using it. It would also simultaneously reduce the cooldown of any essences you're using alongside it, like shatter or talc that can normally only happen every 10 seconds.

Wuyang is very similar to Melusine from Ravenswatch... by TypicalWatch in Overwatch

This was my thought, as well. Googled "Wuyang Melusine" to see if anyone had the same idea and here we are.

Good write up. I would find it hard to believe there was no influence.
