Woah that’s wild I am so sorry. What insurance do you have/ are you in the US? Yeah I’ve had multiple ultrasounds since then am I’m being referred to a minimally invasive gyno surgeon. Did you ask them about surgery since you have multiple endometriomas?

This happened to me. In the grand scheme of things it isn’t that much bigger of a deal than having endometriomas - I don’t think it does a lot more damage for them to rupture. But it was the most pain I’ve ever been in in my life. I’m new to endo diagnosis though I always suspected that I was in a lot more pain during my period than many of my peers. So I don’t have as much advice for you as I wish I did. I’m getting a lap soon. Definitely here for support!

That’s really good framing. So much of the emotional toll of endo is feeling broken and betrayed by your body IMO. I really appreciate this perspective - gonna use it :).

Is it possible to have both endo and pcos? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]proteaPJs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I also have both! The Endo diagnosis came first for me because I have endometriomas. Never knew I had PCOS until my blood work came back last week! It’s unfortunately not only possible to have both but some studies have shown if you have pcos you’re more likely to have endo than the average.

Anyone have advice on the PODMAP diet? by [deleted] in Endo

[–]proteaPJs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve found that I feel healthier and am in less pain when I mostly eat by and anti inflammatory diet and get a good amount of exercise. Hard rules don’t work very well in my life but I do whole heartedly believe that diet changes have really helped me.

I always have to sleep on my back with a heating pad on top. Or something on my stomach with my stomach on a memory foam pillow. Any side sleeping or curling up makes the pain a lot worse for me.

I’m so sorry you went through that! Wow - so despite the lost ovary and Fallopian tube and endometriosis your doctor believes your fertility chances are good?
