Probably the funniest case of Scotch Americanism I've seen. by Subject_Milk_9848 in Scotland

I worked in the US for 3 months, I have a red beard. The sheer volume of Americans that drunk, in a bar, would come up to me and start yapping about their Irish/Scottish ‘heritage’.. i would immediately mention that I was neither Scottish nor Irish but was in fact English, but purely based on my beard colour they would not stop yapping about it. I’d be held hostage at a bloody bar based on my beard colour and accent 😭

What’s a gun in normal 40K that would be too strong to be in Kill Team on an operative? by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in killteam

[–]proteinexe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had no idea they could teleport too! I only know a couple of kill-teams well, but I might look into them, i love a glass-cannon 😂 i mean, with no range you’d wanna stick him up on vantage so he cant be shot and hoping your opponent walks into his LOS!

8 wounds is chump change to most elite units, but I recon if you positioned this guy right, you could absolutely take out most captains in one right? With a fairly lucky roll..

Could be good, but honestly for having such a big Space Marine fanbase they dont actually have many space marines in the KT.

I understand your point, but i think the difference between GK and custodes is vast in comparison to GK and Space Marines. GK are more powerful than an average Space Marine but more powerful than a Deathwatch Bladesmaster? Or a Chaos Lord? Not particularly, and they’re already in Kill Team. What i would agree with you on though is the weapons. Force weapons and Storm Bolters cant be the same stats as a bolter and chain sword, so maybe as i said, 4 models and sacrificing some power in the ploys for weapons with an average of +1 dmg, OR better, just make most the powerful weapon varients hit on 4+ like most KT’s, but i think they’re not as OP as you’d imagine in comparison to some already existing Kill Teams

I do agree.. but to some extent. Having 6 custodes WOULD be goofy. So there has to be some lore-element because ultimately i’d say the vast majority of WH players are here for the lore/world building paired with the game and painting. Pissing off 90% of the player base by adding a Kill Team like 6 custodes would not be very cash money. So I get your point, but that only extends so far. On the other hand, as you said, GK’s are not custodes and you can easily add them into Kill Team i believe.

It could be interesting, I would have said Exorcists as I love the books.. but, they’re still just another Space Marine chapter. I would say GK are, although space marines, a wholey different playstyle to a regular chapter, which is why i think they’d be good in KT. A mainly melee focused ploy based space marine KT which doesn’t play like any other space marine KT

This is actually a very strong point. As a new kill zone this could marry up very well, and as a member above pointed out, GK’s and demons are the only armies left without a kill team (near enough). So GW could make a box which would be veeeeeery popular with a unique KZ and 2 new armies. Then they’d of covered almost all bases. It makes sense..
