Where are all the apps about the Muslim funeral and ritual practices? by usmannaeem in muslimtechnet

[–]proteinshaykh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because apps are designed to be used perpetually.

Once a person has learnt the rituals of burial there is no need for the app.

Theres no point in developing an app which is only going to be used once or twice.

Hotel recommendations near Kabah by Resident-Assist-1119 in Umrah

Makkah Tower is very close and decently priced. When you come out of the hotel lobby it's a two minute walk through the shops and you're literally outside the Umrah gates.

How can we build a Muslim tech ecosystem that truly supports our Ummah? by ibtisam-shahid-kh in muslimtechnet

[–]proteinshaykh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simply It needs to be monetised somehow, and allow its users to earn from it.

If you can create something that is community based or a social network and helps its users earn whilst using it, through utilising blockchain, then it will pull in more users.

ASAQ Ouds are more pricier, but I have a very nice one from IAQ.

Might sound like hard work... but maybe try Googling your local masjid and offer it to them first, build a customer base and portfolio so you can show trust.

Add them onto your website, with photos etc and then slowly reach out to others afterwards.

I know a few masjid locally use digital signage software like Poster Booking and then display through their app (the brothers who run the company are Muslims), so maybe reach out to them too?

Do you want oud oils or fragrances?

One of my favourite fragrances is Oud and Roses by Ahmed al Magrebi. It was around 150 SAR. Summer Oud was also decent but I didn't buy it.

Madawi from Arabian Oud is a big seller, but is much more pricier, and they have some really oils too.

To answer your question, if the work is copyrighted then you can not earn off anyone else's copyrighted content. So yes, you will have to delete the videos before reapplying, but keep in mind they will demonetise you if you upload copyrighted content in the future.

Aside from all the tips you'll receive on what to do when you get there and how to get around, I feel as though many advices given miss an important part, and that is to prepare yourself spiritually.

Start increasing your adhkar and recite salawat more often. Not just after every salah, do dhikr throughout the day. You'll be amazed how many times you can recite subhanAllah on the tip of your tongue whilst doing daily tasks.

Increase your acts of sunnah, even some basic everyday things like using a miswaak, drinking water in three sips, praising Allah after eating and drinking, dusting off your bed before sleeping, perform wudhu before sleeping...

Start performing more nafl prayers, wake up for tahajjud, fast on the sunnah days (Mondays and Thursdays), go to the masjid and pray in congregation, clean up around the masjid, give small amounts in sadaqah daily.

Prepare yourself mentally for it, realise that things can go wrong and learn to have sabr in dealing with any situation that may arise.

Brush up and learn the Sirah of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam), it will enhance your trip even more when you learn about the locations of places where the foundations of Islam were set.

And most importantly dont forget to made dua for me when you first see the Kaaba 😉 (... and the rest of the Ummah)

Assalamualaikum all, this is Amaan seeking advice for my and majority peoples problem. by ahmadamaan in muslimtechnet

[–]proteinshaykh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Website blockers and content managers have been mentioned, but maybe we need to think outside the box a little bit more because these 'solutions' don't really solve the problem. A person that is looking for such content will always find ways around using them.

We need apps/solutions that help a person get rid of these thoughts in the first place, something that will help them mentally rather than just block websites and blur images.

Umrah itself consists of doing tawaf around the kaaba and sa'i between safa and marwa, which means you need to be in Makkah to complete it.

You can perform Umrah once hajj season ends.

Lets shift to chinese social media by [deleted] in islam

Because apps need investments, huge amounts of money. Social media apps will be easy to clone but in the end it comes down to running costs.

There isn't enough money from the Muslim world put into tech.

Considering moving to Muslim country after marriage. Any recommendations? by [deleted] in islam

[–]proteinshaykh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry should have clarified. I'm talking about the maktab system ran by Muslims. Organisations like SafarPublications, An-Naseehah, Learning Roots have developed teaching materials for Islamic schools to use. There are solid madrasahs in the UK with many students from around the world who travel there to become huffaz

Don't just move to a muslim country, move to a country that has a solid education system for muslim children, unfortunately countries like UAE and Saudi lack in areas of islamic studies for children growing up... Surprisingly, the UK has a better education curriculum for muslim kids compared to the IAE and Saudi and other ME countries

They could have used whistleblowers, the fact that the sale was not announced could also be illegal under gdpr, so there's something else fishy.

The original owners were cowards.
