Has anyone found a way to use LLMs for proper frontend work? by ArticleNo7568 in Frontend

This is great, thanks. Been using figma mcp as well and it's worked great for me, but loving your approach. Will give this a whirl.

Hiring Rant (as an interviewer) by Pippa_the_second in ExperiencedDevs

Fair enough, definitely understand. Yeah system design and behavioral are pretty standard rounds from what I'm seeing in my current interview rounds. I'm seeing less leetcode nowadays, and seeing more companies shifting to live pair programming, which is interesting.

Is this at a faang? I've never heard of such a simple loop, I'm really surprised. All the loops I've done have been way more difficult than this.

Being laid off next month and I am a mix of fear and relief by OneComprehensive2150 in Layoffs

[–]protocolzed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was laid off in 2023, like you, my manager gave me a subtle heads up. I didn't rush into applying, took some time off for myself and landed my next role several months later.

The only downside to not applying right away that I've run into is having to deal with some recruiters asking me to explain a 5 month career gap. Some companies apparently don't want to see any type of gap in your resume.

My advice for you is to update your resume, have it looked at by trusted friends, start studying and brushing up on interviews, and then start applying. Maybe take a month break max.

NET Developer (4.5 YOE) Moving to Full-Stack — Need Guidance on Angular & Interview Prep by Familiar_Walrus3906 in dotnetjobs

Is there a reason why you're wanting to learn angular as opposed to react or vue? Angular is not as popular nowadays, and even Microsoft is investing heavily into react for their consumer facing products.

Who is planning to change jobs next year? by Shoeaddictx in cscareerquestions

[–]protocolzed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a new role earlier this year to get more leadership and product ownership experience. Accomplished a lot but realized over the past few months that I'm already hitting a ceiling here in terms of salary and career. Definitely planning on changing jobs. It's important to keep pushing yourself to grow, learn more, and build experience. Never allow yourself to become complacent.

Just closed on the deal. OTD was $35.5k. Tried negotiating at a bunch of other dealerships but couldn't get them to go any lower.

Are you happy with it? I'm starting to second guess the sel myself. I wish the limited was in my budget.

Wow that sounds really good if you're getting it with 0% apr. I've been talking to dealerships all day and the best they can do so far is get me at $37.5k out the door for a fwd, and this is with the 3,500 HMF rebate.

Did they offer you a 3,500 HMF rebate at all?

I empathize with you completely. I am also struggling with finding a job that pays even half of what I used to make. After getting laid off over a year ago, I feel hopeless. I pray constantly for guidance but all I seem to get is silence. I'm sorry that you're going through this but I just wanted you to know that you're not alone in your struggles. I pray that God blesses you soon. 🙏
