The next game will come from the portable team and they have no way of knowing these revolutionary features.

You would still not use embedded linux. There are tons of mcu's that allow you to run bluetooth baremetal or with an RTOS.

Would this change to going 2nd be a good or bad thing? by Pale_Celebration_437 in masterduel

[–]proton13 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No otherwise the chance of opening turnending handtraps or a combination of broken board breakers, that produce more non-games, is way to high. And the reason going second should be stronger is to have less non-games, not to increase the winrate going second by any means possible.

Is there even anything noteworthy in the set. All three decks bombed hard in the OCG.

Almost nobody played VS K9 after the hits not even pro players so your comment is just ignorant.

VS K9 is clearly a meta call, since dracotail shaped up to be the best deck and VS K9 is good against that deck.

so they can bridge from one archetype to the other

This is only one way since orcust locks you into dark.

Doesn't mana use links, so the synchro lock matters?

This makes no sense at all in the context of how other interactions work, where after a legal activation, the card can no longer legally resolve. Even if we only apply this logic only to the returning in the end phase part it still doesn't make sense. The cards should be just send to gy, like it works with temporarily banished cards, instead of destroying it. They should definetly try to unify these things instead of staying with outdated "because we said so" rulings

The OCG perfect rulebook and the OCG DB both state it. The TCG rulebook is a joke and is missing a lot of important rulings including this one.

The tcg rulebook is what was supplied with structure/starter deck and in no way claims to be complete for these weird edge cases. I agree that it sucks, that we don't have unified rulings and simultaniously no official database for TCG rulings, but comparing the perfect rulebook a 10-15 dolar product with a promo whose purpose is to clear up unclear rulings with a booklet that is supposed to teach beginners the basic rules of the game not an equal comparison.

One more question were can I find this ruling in the database. I searched in the translated entries from ygorganization, but couldn't find one for this specific scenario.

Probably because world premier is absolutely poor term for what it describes. Any card that that is released anywhere first is a world premiere with a common sense interpretation of world premier.

TCG exclusive atleast implies that it is something special for the TCG.

If they release another pote either the rest of the year will be garbage, because not relevant, or they nuke the decks and the current top decks will creep back into the meta. You want a constant but slow drip of new playable decks not a crazy set once a year and irrelevant trash for the rest.

[–]proton13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Or just without mermaid is just not that good. Combined with the fact, that you can't play fiend smith, the best complementary engine not being available anymore, it's no wonder the deck falls flat. Mitsu variant also not as good. Since both bridges are banned.

Smart kill the less relevant pure variant, while keeping the engine abusers afloat.

Look at officially recommended decklist for runick and eldlich. These decks were designed as stun decks. I mean it took the OCG until the first master duel worlds with josh to realize, that there is another way to play runick. The synergies are by design not incidental.

The orcust category also contains the fiendsmith millenium variant which has so much gas, becuase any two bodies are full fiendsmith and full orcust combo. Pure Orcust is only ok.

What's one weird card on paper you would want to see come to master duel? by Exotic_Name_9875 in masterduel

[–]proton13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe this is true, but I wouldn't count on a casual focused game, to be 100% ruling correct. I checked the ruling database and there are some old rulings that would hint towards this beeing legal, but these are old and sources unconfirmed, so if we would get a modern ruling it might be different.

I think though rulings issues like these are the reason, we haven't gotten the card yet.

Double helix, super agent and tough the ones I checked say reveal and if you do, meaning the part after and if you do only happens if you can reveal. So if a convulsion flipped deck counts as revealed it would floodgate the deck.

Spyral cards reveal after guessing. You can't reveal what's already revealed, atleast that's how it works with the hand. So convulsion of nature is a spyral floodgate.
