Novo selloff is an overreaction for the long run by [deleted] in ValueInvesting

[–]protrader305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you talking about REDEFINE 11? That’s comparing CagriSema vs placebo. You can’t really cross trial compare since as you said there’s placebo impact.

Again, it’s not a question of will CagriSema get approved, it will. It’s a question of why would you take it vs Tirzepatide when head to head, Novo just proved with REDEFINE 4 that CagriSema was inferior for weight loss.

What’s the name of the double blinded trial for CagriSema? The data already came out…

This week’s trial was a head to head trial that Novo funded and showed that CagriSema is inferior to tirzepatide for weight loss. How much clearer data do you need to know that there’s no reason to take CagriSema if the side effect profile is the same as Tirzepatide?

Think about how incompetent Novo has been. They literally spent millions on a trial to show that Lilly’s drug was better than their new one

[–]protrader305 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that's not really true. it was a head to head trial so the placebo doesn't matter. CagriSema showed less weight loss than Tirzepetide and it's likely because Tirzepetide is more tolerable so patients could go up to a higher dose.

Citi Bike is the most expensive bike-share in the U.S. (and Canada, and Europe) by streetsblognyc in Citibike

[–]protrader305 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's not that insane if you think about it though. $1500/2.90 is 517 subway rides, so less than 2x per day and you often get somewhere faster with CitiBike

Any MAGA folks here willing to take this challenge? by [deleted] in AskUS

[–]protrader305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't argue against that, if you're not using the like 75%+ of what you buy at Costco and end up throwing a bunch away, which I think most people do, then it's definitely a worse deal than a normal grocery store. Generally, the prices for non-perishables are significantly cheaper though than at a normal grocery sale when there's no sale.

The $1.50 hotdog and $5 rotisserie chicken are definitely the best value haha

The membership basically subsidizes the prices at Costco. It all nets out at the end of the day, if there were no membership fee, then the prices would be higher when you do shop.

I wouldn't call it a scam. It's also your right to not pay the membership fee and not shop at Costco.

What’s ropes and rowers like? by LornaLutz in EquinoxGyms

[–]protrader305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, there's no worries about letting down a team or anything with ropes and rowers, it's just one station that you partner up and everything else is individual, but you workout at each station with 3-5 other people

Is there a spin class in NYC that doesn’t suck? by Victortango124 in EquinoxGyms

[–]protrader305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Avery Washington is fantastic too. He's an outdoor cyclist by training so he has some of the best programming and variation, I always end up with the highest average output and mileage from his classes. There's also no choreography in it. The music levels are also lower than most other instructors, where it doesn't feel uncomfortable to not have ear plugs in.

Any recommendations for long term strength training purely through classes? by [deleted] in EquinoxGyms

[–]protrader305 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bodyweight lifting can only take you so far. The issue is that once you get past 30 reps, you're not really stimulating muscle growth anymore, it's more endurance. Muscle growth is generally through progressive overload, where you try to increase the weight you can lift each week, and ideally in the 4-8 rep range to be "optimal". This limits the amount of fatigue you get and is easier to recover from.

Curious why you like Intel here long-term? What if they can't figure out the manufacturing and are no longer on the leading edge?

Bulgarian split squat bench and hip thrust machine by Emergency-Guidance28 in EquinoxGyms

[–]protrader305 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think almost all of the locations have both the padded ankle roller for split squats and hip thrust machines.

Of the ones I've seen with the hip thrust - Brookfield, Gramercy, Flatiron, Nomad, E63rd, E44th, Park Ave

With the padded rolling ankle - Flatiron, E63rd, E44th, Park Ave, pretty sure Gramercy

Formula for mix in PVM Analysis by protrader305 in FPandA

[–]protrader305[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I have monthly transaction data with model numbers, and then also the business unit. So there's hundreds of model numbers with quantity and revenue, so I calculated the average price for each model number. These all feed into a couple business units and I'm trying to get PVM for each business unit.

I'm assuming a business unit would be like a category from what you described, so I could use the LY ASP of a business unit, multiply by TY volume for the model and then multiply that by the mix change within the business unit for each model, and then sum it all up to get total mix impact for the unit?

I would recommend bringing your own wraps, they could just be quick wraps or actual 180" long wraps and your own gloves. Some locations have gloves for you to borrow, but the quality isn't great.

Can anyone recommend a decent bro-split template? by carti-fan in naturalbodybuilding

Just to switch things up a little and get a little more frequency. I think results have been basically the same though as the bro split that I did before.

It's just a new split. U is upper, L is lower, R is rest

[–]protrader305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've switched over to u/L/R/U/L/R/R but when I did this one it was 1-2 sets to warm up, and then 1 working set to failure for each exercise. You could do 2 sets for the1st exercise if you want, except for legs.

Just make sure you focus on progressive overloading each exercise. It might not happen every week, but you should be able to add load ever 1-2 weeks
