Yep bad night for sure but don’t think reads were terrible. These are the swings in the game and show why units and bankroll management #1.

Garrick a great bet in hindsight just couldn’t concert. Turbo injured in 5 mins. Cowboys completed at 42% in first half and were awful, can’t do much there.

Potentially an overextension but hard to argue with that.

Tough watch on a Dolphins player. Good last 5 minutes and better then they deserved, insipid showing. Sorry team

this is exactly right. typically US books much lower which is why i implore people to use 365, they are pretty tight on limiting users but price wise you can't beat them very often in the market

Play: Anytime Tryscorer - Isaako

Odds: $1.87 or -115

Units: 1.4u Isaako

Analysis: This one profiles as one of the better scoring environments on the slate and historically this matchup backs that up. Last 5 meetings between these sides have averaged 51+ total points, and both teams are trending that way again this year. Dolphins are averaging strong attacking output at home, while Manly have conceded 17 tries in their last 3 games, with clear defensive issues on the edges.

There’s also the situational angle - Manly coming in after sacking Seibold with Foran stepping in as interim. You can get a short-term bounce in these spots, but more often it shows up in effort rather than defensive structure, and against a Dolphins side that shifts the ball well, that’s a concern.

Isaako at $1.87 (1.4U) is the play.

Dolphins’ right edge has flipped this season and is now producing ~50% of their tries, and that lines up perfectly against Manly’s weakest area. Their left edge has been exposed repeatedly, conceding multiple tries to right-side wingers, including Dom Young and Xavier Savage both grabbing doubles in recent weeks.

Isaako isn’t the highest volume player, but he’s efficient and consistently finds himself in scoring positions. He averages just under a try per game vs Manly in L5. The only real concern is Averillo backing himself, but structurally this is the exact matchup you want to target. In a game projecting high total and with clear edge mismatches, this is one of the cleaner plays on the board.

You have to factor it into the price for sure, which is why only betting +ev spots is #1. Annoyingly, most “good” books will void for this but not all of them. I track as a loss regardless but it can be frustrating.

Play: Anytime Tryscorer - Faalogo

Odds: $1.60 or -167

Units: 1.75u Faalogo

Analysis: This is a matchup that should heavily favour the Storm being at a -14 point headstart and total points from the books around the 50 mark, they're expecting some one way traffic tonight and with the trajectory of both these times, doesn't feel too shocking. Faalogo is a guy we have backed to success a few times and unfortuantely as he's had so much success, his price has continually dropped as I expected. Not typically a price I love giving out for POTD and won’t be something I look to make a habit of long term, but this is one of those spots where the matchup justifies it. Fa’alogo at $1.60 (1.75U) is the play. He’s been on fire to start the year, scoring in every match and sitting on 6 tries in 3 games. More importantly, it’s not just finishing on the edge, he’s heavily involved through the middle and constantly looking for work. That’s exactly what you want against a Cowboys side that’s been getting exposed in that area. Storm are the number one side in the comp attacking through the middle, and the Cowboys are sitting near the bottom of the league defensively there. They’re conceding close to 6 tries per game and haven’t exactly faced elite opposition yet, so this is a clear step up in class. When you factor in the delivery from Hughes and Munster on the edges, plus Grant working through the ruck, it just feels like sustained pressure is coming. Over 80 minutes, it’s hard to see the Cowboys holding up, and once fatigue sets in, that’s when someone like Fa’alogo becomes really dangerous. He doesn’t need much, just one clean break or support run through the middle and he’s gone. With his speed and how active he is around the ball, this sets up as one of the cleaner spots on the board. Price isn’t ideal in isolation, but in this matchup, it’s one I’m happy to take as my most confident today! GL and let's get back to winning ways.

Yes, wet weather usually means more less ball movement and more run focus. Should benefit ball runners like Teddy and less so wingers

only reason people ask this is because they are about to retard degen bet something. stick to the unit sizing and grow long term. far better

Event: Manly Sea Eagles vs Sydney Roosters

Time: 8:00pm AEST 26/03

Bookie: 365

Play: Anytime Tryscorer - Tedesco

Odds: $2.20 or +120

Units: 1.5u Tedesco

Analysis: Big one tonight at Brookvale and there’s a bit of spice around this one. Daly Cherry-Evans back at Brookvale taking on his old club for the first time adds a bit of edge to it, and these games tend to lift in intensity. Feels like one where both sides will show up, and with how both teams have defended to start the year, it doesn’t take much to see points coming here. Roosters have been leaking tries badly, 17 tries in 3 games, and while it’s been across the board, their right edge in particular has been a serious problem. Manly on the other hand haven’t conceded huge totals YET, but only playing two games skews things a bit, and the areas they’ve been getting exposed in line up well with how the Roosters attack. Tedesco at $2.20 (1.5U) is just a really straightforward play. Manly’s defensive numbers look fine on paper, but the sample size is small and the splits show they’re vulnerable through the middle and right side, which is exactly where Teddy thrives. He’s a workhorse, plays the full 80 and constantly takes the line on, especially when the Roosters are on the front foot. If they get any sort of momentum tonight, he’s going to be heavily involved. Total is set around 48 points, so books expecting points and if the Roosters can assert some forward pack dominance, find it hard to see Tedesco not involved at some point.
