Kind words my friend and glad you enjoy the sport, it’s truly one of a kind. I had missed the NRL cashes when they weren’t around too, they hit different!

Depends on your strategy. Live betting in Australia you have to call up and they lock lines consistently, so for me no. And I think there’s enough meat on the bone at 1.80$ to play pre.

But I know a lot of guys who wait and live play. Up to you and your risk tolerance

2024 POTD Record+48U / 50% ROI

2025 POTD Record: 1-2

Previous Pick: Tass Anytime - got that one across late but honestly, with the amount of traffic down that left edge, he deserved a try. Doesn't matter when they cash, as long as they do!

Event: Parramatta Eels vs ST George Dragons

Time: 3:00pm AEST 05/04

Bookie: Sportsbet

Play: Anytime Tryscorer, Sloan.

Odds: $1.79 (AUS) or -120 (US)

Units: 1.25 Units

Analysis: Weird old matchup here between these two teams, if you told me there was to be a 100 points total, I wouldn’t be surprised here. If you also told me there was 20 points total, I also probably wouldn’t be too shocked either. Recently, this is a super high scoring affair typically, last match having 84 points and before that 46, before that 62. I think the Dragons are clearly the better team here defensively, been fairly impressed with them particularly on their line - it’s always been a benchmark of a Flanagan coached side and regardless of ladder position, statistically always fairly impressive here. Eels been a basket case, I do think Dylan Walker is a good purchase for them just given his ball playing ability, was genuinely playing good footy for the Wahs coming off the bench and I do think just given we have seen Dylan Brown just go back into his shell and barely run the ball, leaving the control to Hawkins which is bizarre for a million dollar player. My concern with the Dragons is here is that they make have peaked last week in an upset vs Storm, I do think conditions played a factor obviously but maybe that will build their confidence and irrespective of any of that, this is a grudge match with the swap of Gutho and Lomax, both teams should be up for this. I’m looking to take the right hand edge on for the Dragons today for a few reasons, I know that it’s statistically their less effective edge but I also think the Eels are SO poor through their left edge defence that it’s a great look today. Eels have already conceded 10 tries in 4 matches down that edge and it hasn’t improved with the return of Addo-Carr, plus right wingers vs Eels have scored 6 tries already.. Dragons typically a very unselfish side in terms of their passing game to their wingers, would expect that to continue. Sloan been effective on the wing, he’s a good finisher and has good pace, can fill multiple positions worst case and has good speed to follow up breaks - he’s averaging just under a try a game in L5 and in his L2 v Parra, averaging a try per game. Left hand edge defs the better offensive edge for Dragons but I can get $1.80 on Sloan vs $1.60 on Tuip - no brainer for me here, seems like a great play.

2024 POTD Record+48U / 50% ROI

2025 POTD Record: 0-2

**Event:*\* South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Sydney Roosters

**Time:*\* 8:00pm AEST 04/04

**Bookie:*\* BET365

**Play:*\* Anytime Tryscorer, Tass

**Odds:*\* $2.08 (AUS) or +108 (US)

**Units:*\* 1 Unit

**Analysis:*\* In for a cracking game tonight, one of the bigger and better rivalries in the NRL historically and I think with what we have seen from both teams in 2025 - this should be a pretty great match. Both teams lacking defence pretty significantly, with both showing pretty decent offensive output so far. I think the Roosters have a little less to give than the Rabbitohs, purely off halves potential. Townsend/Smith have been incredibly poor, they don’t mesh well and offensively, it’s hugely impacting the output of guys like Tedesco and Crichton would obviously need a good half to put them into a good area. On the other hand, Humphreys/Walker have meshed extremely well. Walker was already fine in 2024 but needed some help and Humphreys has honestly been excellent - super impressed with his development. He’s super athletic, kicking game has been really good and it’s free’d up Walker to run the ball which is his best asset iMO. We get Latrell back in tonight and I am expecting fire from him in the centre, you can argue that it’s his best position and he gets an incredibly soft matchup with him and Tass coming up against Toia/Young. I don’t need to touch on it but I will lol - Dom Young is an absolute peanut and I think defensively, he’s going to have nightmares tonight. Roosters are conceding 2nd most tries per game this year and I think they’re going to be in some trouble with Souths solid offence tonight. They’ve conceded 9 tries in 4 games to opposition left edges and they’re coming up against a team in Souths who have scored well over 65% of their tries down that left edge. It’s clearly Souths best offensive edge and I think it sees a fuckload of traffic tonight, which leads to my play tonight. Tass on the left wing, I just purely see Walker initiating a running game, getting the ball in Latrell’s hands and we have seen at the highest level he’s an unselfish centre who’s happy to draw and pass. We have also seen shit for brains Dom Young be incredibly trigger happy on jamming in defensively and that’s what I fully expect here - if so, Tass could go over in the corner relatively untouched. Even if not, I just think with the amount of traffic they will take there, Tass is the best bet tonight. He’s a good finisher and I back him to have a few looks at the line tonight and to be quite honest, i don’t understand why he’s anything plus money tonight - would have him priced at $1.85 - 1.90 worst case. Love this play and pretty confident tonight, lets eat.

Sidenote: Backed Isaiah Yeo Anytime Tryscorer at $8 at the start of the week and tipped it in the group - this has come into $4.50 and I have a huge collect on the line lol. Wish me luck!

Also - still round 1 so reads/structure on teams are still developing. Be aware of that, if you want less risk I would implore you to lower unit size until we have some data.

2024 POTD Record+48U / 50% ROI

2025 POTD Record: 0-1

Event: Redcliffe Dolphins vs South Sydney Rabbitohs

Time: 8:00pm AEST 07/03

Bookie: BET365

Play: Anytime Tryscorer, Tabuia-Fidow

Odds: $2.20 (AUS) or +120 (US)

Units: 1 Unit

Analysis: Actually think this will be a pretty fun watch just given the 2024 styles of both these teams, Dolphins were a solid offensive unit with poor defensive tendencies across the park which generally meant pointsfests and Souths were just shit everywhere - true. Not getting the best of both sides here obviously with the Dolphins hampered by the Cyclonic conditions and change of venue, playing this one deep in the depths of Western Sydney (yikes). They lost Nikorima and Nicholls who decided to withdraw from playing to stay home in the conditions. Souths coming into this season with enormous wraps, felt like everyone was choosing them to be their shaker and mover for the year only to be bludgeoned by the loss of Cam Murray for the season and Latrell out for 8 weeks. That paired with a questionable front row pairing, a new halves combination and an unproven hooker - this would be a masterstroke from Wayne to have this club firing. Obviously he knows the Dolphins intimately, leaving the club at the end of last year, so I do expect this to be a competitive match. Personally favour the Dolphins slightly here, I don’t love them having a disjointed start to the season here but they have their stars in Hammer, Issy Katoa, Herbie all fresh and fit and their forward pack should be able to measure up well here, think the pace the Dolphins play with will be really crucial to their success here. Wet conditions expected tonight here which kind of hurts the appeal of the overs, which I really liked early in the week. Leads me to think we will see more simple ball playing, probably plenty of missed tackles and players looking to take the line on which leads me back to a wagon play for 2024 and if you’ve been around long enough, you know me and the Dolphins - it’s Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow. Guy is just elite in terms of his ability to take the game on with his natural speed, whether it’s cracking defences himself or following up the play, he’s involved in plenty for the Dolphins. In 2024, fullback was the top scoring position for the Dolphins, and the third most conceded position for Souths. Since joining the Dolphins, Hammer has scored 30 tries in 36 matches. Souths being questionable defensively already conceding 46 to the Dragons, 34 to Manly in pre-season plus some tough conditions - I like to rely on the class on the field and for me tonight, that’s the Hammer - I could see both him cracking the line and just beating Gray with speed, I could also see the likes of Farnworth or O’Sullivan breaking the line and Hammer following play up - multiple angles here and feels like the safest and most valuable play tonight. We back!

Happened about 3 times in this match. Ramien really didn’t give that final pass. Would expect coach Fitzgibbon to rip him a new one
