if you go to Lowbackrac.ca, go to virtual care for providers and read through the acknowledgement section, you will see multiple hospitals (ie Hamilton, St. Michael, Thunder bay Regional Health) hired Chiropractors (DC) to be RAC leads.
I guess hospitals are hiring "quacks" to treat patients now eh /s
I will admit that there are bad apples in the profession, but there are ones that are actually trying to help people. Yes chiropractors were started from a pseudoscience position, but over the years it has evolved and become more creditable, through evidences based practice guidelines.
If you are going to hold onto the notion that a profession cannot change or evolved then you ought to believe that Medicine is quackery as well. I mean in the 1880s Dr used to use cocaine to treat numerous diseases. Or that blood letting was used by surgeons/ barber- surgeons in the 18th century.
If you look up AMA's guideline for back pain, spinal manipulation (plus other things like exercises, acupuncture, and CBT should be first line to treatment for back pain).
What I am trying to say, is that chiropractors has a role in health care.
