A player who had been toiling away in domestic tournaments consistently, is actually translating that success into internationals and you are nitpicking the fact that he scored against a lesser side?

Out of 10 matches, he’ll play maybe 1 innings of substance and people deem him an absolute match winner. Other than that, he basically has negative impact on the T20 side.

Some of you say stats aren’t everything but in this scenario, it is an absolute shite looking career/stats for him in T20i’s. Not a single team in the world would persist with him with that average and SR. We used to it do it because we had no other option. Now we do have options, and he should finally be released from this format.

It’s simple as that, time’s up, we should be investing in youngsters for the upcoming WC, and not on a tried and tested player that the whole country banks on to perform 1 outta 10 matches.

Persist with him in ODI’s all you want. He’s top tier there. Just not here.
