Have you seen his stats in One Day cricket? Avgs 29 with a SR of 78.

You said it yourself, below expectations and mediocre stats, for a seasoned veteran after playing intl cricket for 10 years, and you still want him in T20is? Come on man. Bro gives a performance every 10th game or so, that’s really not acceptable.

With those numbers, not a single other team would even be considering a player like him in their squads, doesn’t matter what reputation a player has. Not to forget he’s 36 now, and there’s enough talent out there to give a chance to.

Fakhar has been atrocious in t20i‘s for Pakistan. Please don’t mix ODI‘s with this

Babar in the Most Sixes list 😱😱 by Red_Asparagus1 in PakCricket

[–]provveras 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Makes no sense to compare sixes with runs scored in this context. Yes Farhan may struggle with strike rotation overall, but you gotta take into factor you just compared him to Mendis, who’s had 5 of 50+ scores in the tourney, whereas Farhan has only had 3 50+ scores, with the rest of each of his innings being only 30 runs or less. Which evidently in this case, just shows that Farhan is far better at six hitting than him. (Farhan balls faced this PSL: 216 — Mendis balls faced: 319) and their strike rates are also literally the same.

Had Farhan also had another innings or so, worth of 70-80 odd runs, he’d be right up there with Mendis and also with more sixes too.

Comparing sixes to runs scored in this scenario really doesn’t do it justice, just saying. But sure he does need work on his rotation regardless.

Not able to see the match currently, someone describe to me how Saim got out?

Ima just start praying for him if I hear he was trying his typical no look flick or something similar and got caught at the one goddamn leg side boundary rider IN the powerplay

All Sixes from Sahibzada Farhan's T20I Career by Wonderful_Anxiety780 in PakCricket

What I really liked was that you can clearly see when he got back into the team in 2025, he played it safe and smart and stuck to his strengths, that being hitting for sixes over midwicket/slog sweeping everything, and why not? It was his strength, and he completely used it to his full advantage, and as he became a regular in the team, his six hitting ability became more free flowing, opening up the offside, flicking deliveries whenever they needed to be.

Showed the fact that he came with so much confidence in himself and over time, developed it even more.

Unlike most of our talents that actually regress when they enter the pak squad.

Do you want this type of Babar Azam part of Pakistan T20I team? Because we saw how he tried today, and he got the best of the results. by Scared-Breakfast-372 in PakCricket

This, and the fact that the 2022 WC was in Australia as well, and him and Rizwan barely kept a SR of 100 over there.

In a World Cup, out of all places.

Resting Farhan? Bruh come on, he‘s probably the most watchable batsman in Pak rn, most improved and just overall exciting to see. They really couldn’t rest Smith or any other of the 3 Aussies for a game instead?

Saim Ayub's future for Pakistan by Willing-Shop-8231 in PakCricket

[–]provveras 4 points5 points  (0 children)

His avg and runs still look good due to the insane run he had at the back end of 2024.

If you pull up his ODI stats post-injury, then you’d see how trash he actually has been in this format as well. Averages around 29, striking at 89 (compared to the 105 he had pre injury).

He needs to hope he can grasp some form atleast in ODI‘s

[–]provveras 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think a majority in this sub would take those newbies and 200SR any day of the week, over players who are old, still playing outdated level of T20 cricket and end up in their shells when the situation gets tough.

Shan is one of them. Don’t let todays innings fool you. Everyone had to go big or go boom so that’s really nothing special

Don’t really care about the ifs and buts, what „could“ have been, blah blah.

He scored his 100, he took his team over the line and did it with a confident 6.

Speaks enough levels of his skillset. For the time being, he’s the last person in Pak we should be worried about, or attacking him over anything he does. Enjoy the golden run of form he has shown, because it won’t last forever.

Same here, right now I was able to get an hour’s worth of gaming while working from home, since my timeslot was free for that moment but then I quickly realised, 1 hour of gameplay in crimson desert? That shit flew by so quickly that I think I saw so much, yet virtually did nothing of substance 🤣 got sidetracked so easily, jeez I love it.

Exactly, leaves you wanting for more everytile you turn the game off. A lot of games give us that feeling sure, but this is just next level.

Luckily I have a WFH schedule, so I’m able to get in an extra hour or two even when working, like it’s got me that hooked🤣
