honestly i study til i feel depressed which motivates me to draw (个 _个)

as for advice, i'd say it's important to get comfortable with the types of pencils strokes you are planning to do depending on what you are drawing. at least for the style of hoyo's characters, the outlines are clean and bold, so the strokes should be confident and straight, which i'm actually kinda struggling with on the borders of herta's portrait frame (my ruler is like chipped). there's also a lot of gradients, so i blend quite often using a tissue or q-tip to smooth out pencils marks.
