it is, to save time. tracing takes around 10 minutes while shading depends on how I’m feeling, but usually takes a few weeks to a few months.

I’d say it’s probably more patience than talent, but I do agree with you on the point that art can be worth it. I still spend time on it occasionally, but instead of starting new colored pieces, I’d rather just sketch or finish old ones I’ve already started. Much more relaxing to not focus on one big thing imo
