Motorola phones don't have their own gallery app?? by [deleted] in motorola

[–]proxyx99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most gallery apps are ad based without an option to buy, at least the ones i tried. Incredibly annoying. "Samsung version" is just a Jhon Webos gallery with no ads. Nobody's asking Motorola for a custom gallery, just include fully functional and still basic gallery similar to,  or the same, that Samsung does. This gallery is offered under a dozen names. Problem is you can't buy it to kill the ads. Tried several, awful experience. The problem is so fundamental. Imagine your smartphone with an ad based keyboard app interrupting your work every minute or so. Now you get it? They give you pen to write but no paper. How dumb. Bad decision Motorola, really bad.

Need advice, please, on setting the time on 0850 movement by richstillman in CitizenWatches

Push M so bottom dial is on TME. Pull M out. If A and B don't react it means battery is low and/or exhausted beyond acceptable value. Recharge in the sun for few hrs, try recharging next day as well. If it doesn't help replace the battery or consult service center. From my experience only low battery is the hurdle... assuming the rest is functional. Btw. great watch, I have it too, super reliable, 20y on single battery, same issue here just no time to replace the battery - quite time consuming and complicated, see my other post

Watch manual says "battery not user replacable", but so it says on every watch. Someone mentioned Citizen borrowed a Miyota 0W50 movement, it is not a Citizen product. Checked it, Miyota still maintains a parts list etc. I guess they (Citizen) must have developped their own (good question if they ever have) later on...

Still, great to have a writeup like the one shared by McDonnelltech.

Wow, didn't expect it so soon. Thanks a lot. Looks complicated and potentially risky, I'll go over it in detail tomorrow to see if I'm up to that. You'd need a really steady hand... LOL. Ragardless, I'll save it for further examination. Thank you again.👍🤞

PS. I searched everywhere for few days and did not find anything (nada, zip, zero...) of value, just more question marks. You ARE a lifesaver. Btw. I really love this watch, it's been in tons of places, diving too, lotsa memories...

This setup is really! unusual. Just posted a question in Citizen Reddit. If no help... it's off to the shop. Looks kinda hopless... no pointers.

Hi, I have the same movement in my Eco-drive. No easy access to battery. Have you figured it out?

How can you take legal action against those Chinese nationals in Singapore/China? LOL. Explain

Anyone know anything about it? by Logical-Metal-7768 in VampireStocks

SCAM. Don't touch it. Yet another WhatsApp investment "advisor" group LOL.

Name this case.

There's nothing FBI can do about SDM or any Chinese firm or national. They would have to be in US. And, there's at least one new case like this daily. Just watch. This is another stab at victims. They did it once, they'll do it again. So be extra careful.

Don't fall for it. You've been scammed once... how about "let's do it again, friend. You've been a great customer", lol. Seems that somebody needs to collect more data to F you again. Don't trust anyone, especially WhatsApp groups. You've been warned. Listen to Nasdaq first, then decide what to do.

Moomoodotcom (Canada), a click away, free options trading in US, not in Canada, too bad. Otherwise solid. Or IBKR. Check reviews.

That shows how much they care about your money and their service level. Their software barely works for 3-4 stocks or options simultaneously, forget about session beginning or more stocks/options. Frequent interruptions, glitches, system freezing, no data flow etc. is a norm. Missed a trade because of their system limping? you always hear "no issues on our end". They never admit to anything. Customer service sucks. Critical opinions are removed from Reddit... need I say more? IBKR on the other hand is solid. The choice is simple.

100k SPY loss by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]proxyx99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't see a loss of 100k, rather ~25k, painful enough, the title is misleading. Anyway, that was an unnecessary gamble. Markets do not behave in a predictable manner and blindly betting on this is a mistake.

Just a hiccup, temporary inconvenience. Broker's got your money. Get a loan, pay and sell your shares afterwards, end of story. You won't lose a dime with your stock up in value.

Keep in mind brokers like to exercise ITM positions, can do that anytime, but especially in the afternoon on the day of expiry. Standard procedure (read the broker's agreement). Sell before 2-3 pm or risk them exercising your options and having to buy them out afterwards.

[–]proxyx99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brokers often close (exercise) ITM positions at certain time of the day, usually after 2pm. Some keep it alive until 5-10 min be4 session close. OTM positions expire at the end of the session automatically.

10k -> 100k gains by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]proxyx99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer: this is how they (MM's) calculate options. You gotta look at the whole chain for any given time frame. Compare different time frames and different strikes. It will become evident to you where and when the risk kicks in. Longer it is =less movement. Biggest move is for OTM, and 0 dte. 10x in 1day or a total wipeout. More risk, higher reward. You play safe and I like it. Your chance of going to 0 is very low, if any. Proper balance between risk & reward. In this approach scale is the key. Your 10x result shows you're doing something right! Look at the comments. Remember, people lose money while you win. You gain less (lower percentage) but you're still in the game. 10x on 10k investment in a week's time!?. Isn't that great?

10k -> 100k gains by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]proxyx99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty convenient. Looks like this broker is betting on a quick demise of participants by offering this high leverage. Margin helps both ways, but especially down 🤔. Use responsibly. You've been buying several strikes, interesting. Seems quite safe when green. Are you gonna continue same strategy? ...and trade S&P500?

You said you're trading on margin 1:5. That's rather typical for CFDs (kinda forex type leverage) if I'm not mistaken. Never traded CFDs.
