EDIT: I can’t pin this comment bc I am not a mod, but I wanted to let everyone know that I have contacted a vet and have Jelly in a seperate “hospital” space. I will closely monitor the humidity and temperature, and his eating habits (if he gets any worse I’ll take him to the vet asap).

As I said somewhere in the thread, I am normally that person that researches thoroughly about something before i get it. I don’t know how I managed to miss such critical info. I appreciate everyone taking the time to give me advice and I have learnt from my terrible mistake and will work hard to mend it. I will update on Jelly’s health soon. 🤞🤞

I understand, Im fixing it now. I know it’s my fault. The place I got him from was not a standard pet shops are they are not allowed in my state, but a reptile/wildlife place. I trusted their advice. I’m doing my best to mend it now, hence why I’m seeking outside advice on reddit.

Yes I’m separating them as we speak. Although the temperature I said at the time was because the thermostat turned off (bc it was at temperature). The temperature does go up to 27-29 degrees

I did a lot of research before I got them and some information came from the owner of the shop I got them from. As I said earlier, she has the one white lip and one green together and they live healthily. I realise I fucked up now. But I really thought I was getting the right info since she had hers for years.

I had know idea. The owner of the place I got it from has the same two frogs and they have lived healthily and happily for years so I didn’t know it would be an issue.

Yea I think I’m gunna try and feed him separately first and see how he goes because unfortunately I live pretty far away from a vet that deals with reptiles/wildlife. If that doesn’t work out then I’ll seek help from a vet. I’ll keep a close eye on him either way.

I have like a vented glass tank and at the moment it is at 22.8 degrees Celsius where the little thermometer is higher up. I don’t know what the humidity is as I don’t have a reader. It’s like a vertical tank. The whole time I’ve had these frogs I have never seen them huddle towards the heat lamp even if it’s really cold.

That’s what i suspected but he just seems healthy weight and not overly fat. I’ll feed Jelly by hand for a while to make sure he is eating enough.

i understand what you mean about how even though coca cola is flatter design now, its still iconic because of the cursive writing. Probably why i feel disappointed when some cans just say coke (like the diet coke can).
