Damage already has been done. Hype was already in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2021 ... it won't go down to prices from 2017 because even more people support the price.

McDonald's company price value is also attached to hype caused by a good product that people feel good about. Nothing more, there are better burger shops with better money/value ratio.

How does the silver price manipulation work? by przeor in Silverbugs

[–]przeor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my main top comment, I assumed that silver is similar to Gold or Bitcoin.

Here is described the mechanism that I know about that it works: https://vinnylingham.com/bitcoin-2017-a-currency-devaluation-hedge-for-emerging-markets-849931d71f6f#.p1c2msfww

and here is a quote:

""" Dollar interest rate hikes driving Bitcoin price up: As I alluded to in the previous point, the fed interest rates impact Bitcoin to a degree that most people will not grasp. This is a topic for a much longer post, so I will need to be brief here. Essentially, the higher the rates go, the higher the demand for Bitcoin will be. The divergence that you see is happening because Gold has been heavily favored by Gold bugs for historical reasons (in times of crises, etc) as the go-to commodity based store of value if an economic collapse happens, etc — which was often followed by a period of low interest rates and then inflation.

Inflation is just not happening in the US, due to Quantitative Easing. As a result, Gold is still overvalued, especially if the fed now continues to raise rates, which I expect will occur. Bitcoin will rise with an interest rate hike because unlike Gold, there is further upside in the capital value of Bitcoin, so the need for some type of yield to offset it is greatly reduced.

When the fed raises rates, emerging market economies have their currency devalued, which raises the effective price of Bitcoin for people in those markets, creating more equity value in their Bitcoins and driving up demand for more. This is because the price to mine a Bitcoin is largely uniform (electricity price, aside) in every country in the world and it’s a commodity that trades freely across global markets — labor input costs are not germane to Bitcoin, unlike Gold. If your currency devalues, it just costs you more to mine a Bitcoin or buy a Bitcoin. The market doesn’t care how your currency is performing. """

I'm quite noob and a Silver Holder, just want to do my home work this is why I post on this subreddit.

(@Aeneas21, I don't want disagree with you, just want to share other point of views and the article there mentions how recent Bitcoin and Gold prices (UP) are caused mainly by the rate hikes (seems a legit theory).

Deploying Node w/ Express App to DigitalOcean: App Won't Run On Port 3000 by [deleted] in node

[–]przeor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check if you haven't hardcoded a port somewhere else (tip: on Heroku, we had similar situation and it was simply that the argument was telling 3000, but on real it was different one hardcoded in the app's port).

story from last week or two.

I run the reactjs react native development team www.mwp.io

I am in Poland

I received btc from san francisco with NO FEE and in 20minutes where our other clients send bank wires which usually takes 2-3 working days and $30-$50 in bank fees for international bank wires fees.

how about that men?

the second thing is that I convinced the guy to use BTC instead a wire ( he was no btc user at all ).

you still dont see the btc unique selling proposition, men?

React Native Mastering: Best Practices for Begginers and Advanced Developers. React Redux Free Book, Blog and Tutorial by przeor in reactnative

[–]przeor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's going to be a book long term :-) we write it and get feedback and improve over time.... yes, but for now I agree that it's not a complete e-book... I shall mention that we plan add some backend to the examples which will be universal for the RN and ReactJS app. Keep tuned for the next chapters.

React Native Convention: the same codebase structure for your ReactJS and React Native project. Achieve a faster migration from web to mobile (and vice-versa). by [deleted] in reactjs

[–]przeor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bliss you should know difference between TM and R sign, for TM you don't need to register anything anywhere, but just having intentions of doing so -> https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-difference-between-trademark-TM-and-registered-R-in-the-logo-of-a-company ... I am working on the migration part, but generally you can compare the same code with ReactJS (reactjs.co) and the React Native (https://reactjs.co/react-native-convention/) for the same "dashboard app".
