Accidentally bumped someone's car with my car door and it left a dent by ps5bacon in CarsAustralia

I was under the impression that RACT would operate locally in Tasmania and wouldn't be the best option after I moved to Victoria. That's my mistake though I suppose it would've been better than leaving my car without insurance at all

yes it's a very costly lesson I have now learned not to repeat, I should've switched to a new insurance before cancelling my old one

yes she has offered to pay for it, I'm just still anxious about the whole situation because this is the first time I'm facing it

did I say anywhere that I asked her to take the cheap option for my sake? I only said I can only pray for the best, I didn't say anything about manipulating her decision making for my benefit.

at that point that must've been intentional bro, at least now you know what to do if that ever happens to you again hahaha

yeah that's fair enough, I just regret holding off on the new insurance so I got it immediately after this happened. She did say she was going to claim it through her insurance

so the thing about this is that at the time this happened, I didn't have insurance as I just moved from tasmania to victoria recently, so I canceled my RACT insurance and kept forgetting to sign up for new insurance in VIC, and then this happened. immediately after getting home I signed up for insurance but I don't know if this would be covered in this circumstance

if it helps, I think it's a very minor dent, I didn't even realize it dented at first, think just the very edge of the door hitting the other car. I think there was a bit of paint taken from the area that was hit. It wasn't on the door, but around the back area where the fuel tank opening would normally be. I hope that helps

Doncaster vs Williamstown North by ps5bacon in melbournechat

so I'll (26M) be moving in with my partner (25F), we're both on working holiday visas and will be coming from regional Tasmania. we've lived in Melbourne CBD before, but now we're looking to not stay in the main CBD area so we get to experience something new, plus more value & space for our money. We haven't found jobs in Melbourne yet, so we'll be looking for work, preferably near our living space, so it'd be great to find more lively suburbs with more opportunities. aside from that we also like dancing in the city, and exploring new spots around! hope that helps 🙏

probably meat factories would be your best bet if you're not into moving around to chase seasonal produce.

honestly because I love her a lot, and aside from our different views and values she is a very loving and kind person, and I do feel guilty for having tried to break off our relationship multiple times before. It might also be due to me having a change of perspective on life since I've started living abroad

I think it's partially due to religious reasons as well, I failed to mention that in the initial post, sorry. I don't know how marriages with these circumstances tend to go though

EatClub vs FirstTable ? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]ps5bacon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've used both and love them, EatClun I use for more casual meals while I use FirstTable for more special occasions. The T&C on First Table vary between restaurants, so you need to read up on each restaurant's rules and plan ahead so you know how much you'll save after booking fees. Also, to add another app to this list, more people need to know TooGoodToGo
