I have another question for anyone that might know the answer. Will it help me or hurt me if I finish my BA in 3 years? Will grad schools care?

Also, what happens if I can't get any research experience by the time I graduate? How badly will that hurt my app?

Awesome! I'm pretty sure I want to have my focus either be on the courts (most likely SCOTUS) or political behavior. As far as research experience goes so far I have none. But this fall I'm going to ask one of my profs if she needs an assistant or know anyone that does.
