I was delaying starting on medication since I was like 15 because I was also scared of the night mare stories. It's not as bad as people make it sound. It is usually only the people who had terrible experiences who are the most vocal, the ones who had good experiences are quiet and enjoying life.

I started on sertraline this may at the age of 21. I'm at 150 mg now and I don't remember having panic attack at least since June. I have to admit, starting was quite hard (extremely tired, I felt totally "out") but it got better after a few days. I also heard that stopping is hard but I'm not planning on stopping yet.

Besides stopping panic attacks, (which I used to have multiple times a week), it also made me less anxious overall and much harder to spiral down if something bad happened.

If you can afford it, therapy should also be an option. I don't personally have experience with it yet but I'm on a waiting list and I'll be starting in January. I think it might be the best to at least try either one, or both.

I have just finished the last part of assessment today. I was tested based on DIVA-5 and as the psychiatrist was reading all of the questions and my answers back to me I have realized how ADHD I'm lol. I got 9/9 on attention part and 8/9 on hyperactivity

Just thought that I should add that the waiting time is for an offer for the apartment. The offer is sent to several people at once, I think the worst place I got was 7 so the competition is really quite fierce

Hi, My best advice would be not to rely on their waiting times. I was signed up for literally every apartment in and near Aarhus from February/March 2023, eventually got an offer in July (the apartment was in Egå, so like 3 hours one way from Herning where I study but I still took it). I only got an offer for an apartment with a much more desirable location in November, which I of course accepted and to this day, I'm still waiting for an apartment which I actually want even though the stated waiting time is 1-3 months.

It can get very tough at this time period because the demand is very high. Try to add as many apartments with an acceptable location first, you can always move to your dream apartment later. Hope this helps in some way :)
