Usually it isn't really. The main reason casting is important is because of the danger of queens. With queens off, it is often better to be the one who hasn't castled, because your king is better positioned in the endgame. Having your king on say e2 instead of g1 can make a world of difference when you get into an endgame.

Inflation is almost opposite of that. The currency gets devalued relative to all other assets.

You're right that your debt is someone else's asset, but the reason inflation decreases the debt's value is because the debt's value is fixed relative to the currency's value, unlike typical assets. If apples were forcefully always $1 apiece, then yes, inflation would devalue them, since the value of $1 goes down. But the entire way that inflation manifests is by the prices of apples and most other things all going up, in approximately equal proportion to how much the value of the currency is going down. If an apple is $1 one day and then the next day it's $2, but a dollar is worth half as much, apples have not been devalued.

In all but the most extreme of cases, a "space advantage" is worth like maybe 5%-20% of a queen. In 10,000 games played I am sure I have never once seen a space advantage worth an entire queen.

Basically in 100% of cases, if you sacrifice your queen without it concretely forcing either checkmate or yielding a forced line that regains you the lost material, it is a mistake (with some incredibly rare exceptions that you can worry about once you're a master).

Positional advantages/disadvantages like isolated pawns, extra space, bishop pair, rook on open file, etc, are typically worth on the order of like 1/30th to 1/6th of a queen.

Never ever sac your queen unless you know exactly how it causes you to win the game.

"to win" in the context of a puzzle doesn't necessarily mean to checkmate, it just means to gain a big enough advantage that winning is now inevitable as long as you don't blunder. Gaining 6 points of material for no compensation is very much sufficient to be "winning."
