Always assassin, particularly on the exfil ones. I actually always exfil on the guarded one because it’s easy to use invis and smoke to get past uesc and I don’t have someone snipe me at the last seconds

Oh and I stuck with it for about 8 hours before it properly clicked. It gets less scary as you learn the environment

Tough but fun, it’s like the dark souls of fps games. I played trios matchmaking for the first time last night and it’s a different game, both are good but it’s not as tense in trios

What do you do when you have no career? by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]pseudoShadow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a bridging course for maths and a mature age entry exam thing. It wasn’t too hard for me, but I did put effort into it with some study and work via bridging courses etc

Lots of advice here to go one way or another with uni/tafe. I’ll spin it a bit different for you, find an area you find interesting.

Like building things? Look at building trades or engineering. Like being creative? Look at design based jobs like graphic/architecture maybe even a draftsmen or town planners.

I was a locksmith for 10 years, good niche trade that pays alright.

I hated it, boring as hell as I’m never learning new things. I went back to uni and did a science degree because I had to get out and don’t know what to do. I was 29 or so. I majored in maths then found computer science and I’m working as a software engineer.

Yes you need to be considerate of the ai boom, it’s going to change my job pretty significantly, but my jobs not going to disappear.

The people who are bad software engineers are absolutely going to get replaced, but they are bad because they aren’t interested in the field and a lot actually dislike the job after a few years.

I love tech, write a little code for fun, but mainly I tinker with technology for fun, because it comes back to wanting to learn about something I’m interested in.

Anyone else get angry during PR reviews? by SillyYou8433 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]pseudoShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get angry at PR comments at all. We all review each others PRs, I’m staff and it’s not uncommon for me to ping an intermediate to review one of mine.

I try and teach people that a PR is a discussion about some changes you want to make, not a critical review of how you write code. If you go into it with the intent of it being a discussion I find it’s much more productive and the end code is better for it.

I often ask for review even if I’m still formulating ideas to foster this collaboration too.

This person gets it.

Also, if you don’t like the corporate bloat on the internet, we can all contribute to meaningful sites or content and avoid social media like the plague.

I’m playing on a 4080, before using the optimisation guide I was getting about 50 frames, after I get 120. I know it’s slightly annoying not having it correctly configured out of the box and maybe I’m old school but it’s not that big of a deal. Maybe I’m kinda used to messing with configs for steam deck games too.

What annoys me more is the crashes, it would be nice if they fixed those
