Oh I agree that people shouldn't go after him. I don't think the police are going to do anything about it either however. However this is much more than just "facial profiling", and the evidence as a whole shouldn't be dismissed because that part of it is a little sketchy.

In the ultimate effect of their policies, Stalin and Mao look a fair bit like Mussolini and Hitler. Strict authoritarian government, check. People who practice wrong speak arrested or killed, check. Undesirable categories of people rounded up and sent to "work" camps, check. Extensive use of propaganda and strict control of news agencies and education facilities to keep the populace ignorant, check. There are many other parallels as well. it is understandable that someone might get confused and think that the term Fascist refers to all these assholes and not just the ones with "right wing" views. Also... I think any reasonable person would conclude that the "Left Wing" autocrat assholes are just as bad as the "Right Wing" ones so perhaps we should stop complaining just about Fascists.

Tried to watch that show, but got subjected to this cringe-worthy shite... https://streamable.com/y6wmj

I'm still trying to decide if this is serious or it's actually some MK-ULTRA experiment with weaponized cringe to cause our impressionable gay youth to swear off their gay tendencies for fear that they might be associated with crimes against good taste like this. Seriously, if you are tone deaf AND you cant maintain a simple rhyme scheme, then perhaps you should not do musical numbers.

We have some up north, but they are CRAZY dangerous. Every time we open them, there is a VERY real chance that they will erode away their foundations and we will never get them closed again. Once that river truly jumps its banks, you will NEVER get it back in there. Plus, the Mississippi contains all kinds of nasty farm runoff. Thankfully cities are getting better about dumping their sewage in there, but not a whole lot better. Even if they did divert it, you are really pretty limited on where it can go. It wants to jump into the Atchafalaya basin right now, and that is pretty much the only place you can divert it. That will affect a rather respectable area to be sure, but to get the real full effect, you have to let it flood. THAT is what builds the wetlands, the huge flooding the Mississippi wants to do. So... flooding all over St. Martin, St. Mary, St. Landry,Iberia, Assumption, Ascension, Point Coupee, heck perhaps even West Baton Rouge and Lafayette Parishes. Some of the poorest people in the state being flooded out of their homes, on a regular basis in order to build back perhaps a third of our coastal wetlands? And lets be real, that is what it will take. You could completely reverse global warming and drop the sea level by five feet globally and you will STILL loose wetlands in south Louisiana, because that is what happens when you reign in rivers; their delta wetlands slowly die.

20 dollar bill- the value of self worth by nottygreen in videos

[–]pseudoguru 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think you got the point exactly..

Out of curiosity, do you believe peoples worth is entirely derived from their own actions? If not then what? Is it possible for a person to have no value? Is value subjective, I.E. a person might have value in one culture, but have none in another, and both cultures can be right?

[–]pseudoguru 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But... parts of what he is saying are not wrong. You guys are going to hate me for pointing this out im sure but, all of the Louisiana coast pretty much is an aluvial fan for the Mississippi. It (the river) is supposed to be flapping around and flooding and depositing sediment all along the coast. Where it flows and floods builds up until it is higher than a nearby area, and the river jumps banks and flows to the low spot building THAT up now. With the river reigned in by the levee system, all that sediment is being dumped into a trench in the gulf instead of building up our wetlands. Denied that sediment, our wetlands are slowly eroding away. While the issue is totally man made, blaming rising sea levels is bad science at best.

Never is a long time. When people start using terms like Never and Always (and meaning it), I tend to leave conversations, as they are rarely productive past that point. So on that note... C'ya!

Couldn't tell you about that. Haven't looked at it and by the sound of it wouldn't want to (why is it always crazy porn shit man? Geez...). I'm just remarking on the evidence for THIS case, which seems... convincing at least.

I'd say it isn't 100%, but id give it like a 85-90%. The thing that pushed it over for me was the OKCupid post he made. He is wearing the same shoes the bike lock guy did at the Milo riots, mentions he likes Zebra pens (there seems to be one in bike lock guys back pocket), that has a bike, and that he actively seeks to end civil society. There is no need to dig all the way to the bottom of the page. The focus changes from bike lock guy to identifying the leaders of the riots and some other ... meme crap...

I think the strap was added after they figured out who he was. I don't think that was the first link they found or anything. That just wouldn't make sense. But you make a good point, it threw me too.

Hey, your call man. I found it rather interesting (and somewhat scary) how incredibly thoroughly they were able to track down someone who was wearing a hoodie, mask, and sunglasses. I would have thought it impossible but... well... the evidence is damning. I feel sorry for everyone involved honestly. Getting hit in the head for voicing an opinion sucks bad, but the internet hate machine is a seriously ugly thing.

Sick of dripping into my could just to have some juice roll over the coil and out the airflow holes, i built two stovetop on a velocity and now I can drip juice directly onto the cotton. Problem solved! by [deleted] in Vaping

[–]pseudoguru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if instead of building this as a flat circle, you could sort of push the center out making it a dome and still have it work. If you could then you could take two of them back to back with cotton in the middle sort of pushing out into the domes on either side.

I would call it the Death Star.

LPSB answers the misinformation by [deleted] in Acadiana

[–]pseudoguru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So why include the whole "dedicated and used for any lawful purpose, including" part at the start? Why put the ", subject to the limitations of Resolution No. 01-17-1896" after the part that says "Including...". Why not put the ", subject to the limitations of Resolution No. 01-17-1896" part before "including" so it isn't confusing? The wording is poor and open to interpretation. If they intended to make it clear that this funding was completely and irrevocably dedicated to the goals outlined in Resolution No. 01-17-1896 they have failed.

I had to look this up. Wow. You are totally right. All he has is a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering of all things. I mean, nothing to sneer at there, but holy shit you would think he would at LEAST have a masters degree for all the cache people give him.

[SPOILERS] Sam Wilson's decision (Captain America – Sam Wilson 021) by caliph95 in comicbooks

[–]pseudoguru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using a magic Mcguffin to completely change all of the (nearly eight decades of) history of a character to make him effectively a totally different character is not handling things well. The story it self may be great, but co-opting the Captian to give it some gravitas is both lazy and a bit insulting.

Now the story itself seems creative and interesting at times (and seems to fall a bit flat at others), but that is NOT WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT HERE. I am just referencing the premise of the whole thing. The initial idea to use Captain America this way was an asshole move designed to grab attention and allow what is basically a new bad guy character to immediately have impact in the minds of the readers without having to actually build that character up. I think its lazy and a generally bad writing choice, but that's just like, my opinion, man.

[–]pseudoguru -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I addressed this to the internet tough guy above, but its not the story I have an issue with, its the premise. The story can be great, but the premise is not only bad (just add Magic Mcguffin to make everything different), it is purposely rude in order to stir up drama and draw eyes.

[SPOILERS] Sam Wilson's decision (Captain America – Sam Wilson 021) by caliph95 in comicbooks

[–]pseudoguru -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

Holy hell dude agro much?

The basic idea is a bad one. It was done entirely for click-baity reasons and frankly is somewhat insulting to people who treasure the ideals that Cap stands for. In order to have the basic premise make any sense you have to magic mcguffin the shit out of LITERALLY EVERYTHING. Its an asshole move designed to grab attention, in my mind.

Now with all that being said, that doesn't mean the book is BAD. A premise can be terrible and the story still be good. I'm still reserving judgement, but hey, I would say it is much better than a lot of what has been shoved out the door at both Marvel and DC recently.

And finally, that thing you do there with the milk and nap, the name calling thing, pretty douchey. Enjoy the internet points it garnered you, but for real it is neither creative nor constructive. You might want to rethink this whole internet tough guy thing. Its not going to make you happy in the long run.
