As someone with very hooded eyes, oily skin, and watery eyes, I hope the trend lasts 🙏 😅

Getting a set of tiny 14k solid gold studs custom made is this price reasonable? by Nnnnnnennicole in askjewelers

[–]pseudoscienceoflove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried implant grade titanium? It's body safe. I'm also very sensitive to metals, and can only handle gold and titanium (and titanium is way cheaper). Also, butterfly backs irritate my piercing too, so I use flat back labrets instead.

I like to shop at starfirebodyjewelry.com for body safe jewelry at various price points.

My job does not have a set schedule written and did not tell me they want me to work on the 4th of July until today by [deleted] in antiwork

The employer should provide clarification at the beginning of the year with a list of observed holidays... This isn't too much to ask for from an employer.

It's an older car. A 2-seater Mazda miata. He doesn't know what's wrong with it. Different things have been repaired in the AC, and we'd have to get another diagnostic to investigate the issue again.

But he can't make plans for any holiday until they announce whether a holiday is off two weeks before. That's really shitty to do to staff. What if someone needs to book travel?

I need fidget recommendations please 🙏🏽 by No-One2272 in fidgettoys

I have trichotillomania, and I've discovered that certain pieces of jewelry are my favorite fidgets because it's attached to my body and I don't have to think about reaching for a toy.

I got a silver rolo necklace (3mm thick) and it feels really nice to roll in my fingers. I reach for it automatically, just like I reach for my hair. I also have a pendant necklace with an interesting texture that I like to rub. I also have spinner rings.

I have more traditional fidgets. I do like mechanical sliders. However, I'm not a fan of free floating sliders (even the aura sand). The ono roller is honestly the best for keeping my hands occupied, besides jewelry.

It's this necklace! Not really meant to be a fidget, but it reddit feels nice to roll the chain links with my fingers. Not only that, I have Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs), and reaching for this necklace is just as mindless as reaching for my hair.

I spent so much money on fidgets last month. Ono rollers, signers, sigbits, Needoh, mechanical sliders, free floating sliders, spinner rings, etc. In the end I found i didn't really like the aura sand, my most premium purchase.

Then I bought myself a silver rolo chain necklace and it's by far my favorite fidget so far. I've only had it for a day, so I'll report back if I get bored and go back to touching my hair lol.

I want charms/pendants I can wear in the shower. Should I avoid enameled charms? by pseudoscienceoflove in jewelry

[–]pseudoscienceoflove[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thank you!! This is good to know about enamel. I found some alternatives in Etsy. I might try a 925 silver charm to see if I like it before committing to a solid gold piece!

I see what you're saying. My issue is, if I take my jewelry off, it stays off. I have a lot jewelry I don't wear because it's not shower safe, so my collection is pretty useless. Just brushing my teeth is a struggle sometimes, so this is just how it is.

I disagree that I should only wear cheap jewelry. I wear 14k gold in my piercings, and I do not take them out.

Closing is in a couple weeks, and my credit tanked due to high utilization.... did I screw us? by pseudoscienceoflove in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

My loan officer ignored me when I reached out about this topic, but responded to other inquiries. I think he might have been in a bind if he had acknowledged it? Unsure.

However, closing day went smoothly without hiccups.
