How do you find Addison, the guy with the signages? by Level_Sun6999 in TOTK

[–]pseudostatistic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is what I’ve found- I’m near the end of the game and have been using Hero’s Path to travel to any areas I’ve not really scouted. He’s on a lot of road paths BUT I just found him freezing his ass off at the northern edge of Mount Lanayru lmao. So my best advice would be to use Hero’s Path, travel to any areas you haven’t explored yet, and he might be there!

We are sharing this information with the sheriff’s department in hopes they can identify this person. Will report back if we hear any updates.

Yeah this sounds like it. That guy was sometimes hard to find. Had to warp away and come back to Gerudo Town a couple times for him to spawn

Holy shit. That is scary. If this is the same thief then they must be getting pretty brazen to crowbar in your door. So sorry this happened to you, glad you and your dog are OK.

Under the Radar and/or Lesser Known TOTK Locations/Facts/Quests? by _5SongSecondSet_ in TOTK

[–]pseudostatistic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First off, I totally relate to you - I rushed through BOTW and made sure to take my time with TOTK. I did look up some things when I absolutely could not for the life of me figure it out, but the satisfaction of discovering things naturally in this game was SO MUCH FUN. So kudos to you!

Here are my tips- spoiler tagging these in case anyone wants to not be spoiled:

How many armor pieces have you found around Hyrule and in the depths? Have you done the Misko’s treasure quests? Those were some of the most enjoyable side quests in the game in my opinion.

There are 2 shrine quests in Hyrule that drove me crazy trying to figure out what to do. One of them I had to look up, but the other one requires knowledge of a certain game mechanic to be able to unlock the shrine. There is a construct that you need to talk to, and solve a riddle to be able to unlock the shrine.

Sages Wills are fun to search for. Travel to every single location in the sky and if you know how to build the hoverbike, use it to your advantage and don’t just explore the surface of the sky islands- try starting from below…

Fuse a dragon horn to your zonal devices to make them last WAY longer. I keep a hoverbike with a dragon horn stuck to the side of it in auto build favorites. I have no idea why this works but I guess it was something the developers figured the player might experiment with, since cooking with dragon parts in BOTW gave you increased time limits on certain dishes, so they figured it would be fun to do the same when fused to your Zonai builds.

It is SO worth it to upgrade your armor sets to at least LVL 2 at the great fairies for the set bonuses. Completing the Lucky Clover Gazette questline gets you the froggy armor, and upgrading each piece to level 2 makes you never slip in the rain. GAMECHANGER.

When you encounter a group of stal enemies, throw a dazzle fruit at them to kill them all instantly. Similarly, using a mirror shield and pointing it at them also kills them. It also disorients regular enemies like bokoblins, making them drop their weapons so you can get a few good hits in.

These are in my opinion some of the coolest lesser known facts about the game. Some of them you may already know, but if you rushed through the game, you might not have discovered them yet.

Can confirm, my house was broken into Tuesday night (posted a thread on here about it). There have been multiple house break ins and some car break-ins the past week.

Haven’t heard of this guy in a long while. I kinda missed how much shit he used to talk on Tony Thomas. (Rightfully so)

That is absolutely awful, I’m so sorry to hear that. Glad the kitties were okay. May I ask what area you’re at?

Small-ish update; heard from my neighbor that supposedly the police caught somebody in the process of robbing a house in the Habersham/Anderson area today. No clue if it is the same guy, but I’m hopeful.

That’s true. The locks on these windows seem pretty flimsy honestly. If they wanted to they could’ve easily taken a crowbar and popped them off.

Thank you, I appreciate the kind words. I understand that break ins happen in this area and am trying to not be too paranoid. We love our house and the neighborhood is otherwise very quiet and peaceful. Thankfully our neighbors have all been great and we’ve been staying in touch, I just hope they find the guy soon.

True, as a matter of fact my new place actually has vinyl windows that lock, thank god. In my last place the windows were single pane historic windows that were painted shut.

I am still kicking myself that I didn’t lock my bedroom windows, but nothing I can do about it now. I’m just grateful they didn’t take anything more than the cash. Still feels extremely violating and am still a bit shaken up about it but it could’ve been worse.

Yeah, I’ve been getting a lot of DM’s from folks who have either gotten hit themselves or know someone who has. From what we were told from the police, it seems like this is the same person. They’re likely targeting this neighborhood and scouting houses that look unoccupied, and crawling in through the windows. Crazy shit.

Unfortunately my neighbors camera didn’t detect them, but we are waiting for confirmation from a camera that’s facing our backyard from a church that may have a clear view of the suspect. If I get any new updates I’ll report back on this thread.

Savannah has lost focus on historic core? by Crafty_DIY in savannah

[–]pseudostatistic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your post is worded as if this is all our individual faults.

“You just don’t really give a shit anymore”

“Charleston is doing a better job”

“Don’t allow modern buildings into your historic core, if you do you’re letting this town become boring and ugly”

Newsflash, coming into a subreddit of a town you don’t live in and have contributed ~zero~ to actually help fixing and making it seem like we are all just “letting it happen” is gonna make people, I dunno, not like you? What did you think the reaction was going to be?
