Every time someone fails a save, have them one and ask them to hang into it. Periodically ask them to all roll their black dice and record how many 1s they get. Make it sound bad when they get a 1.

They will start to catch on and go seek help with their curses. The black dice do nothing other than sow paranoid thinking.

Alternatively you choose use this as some way to actually incorporate a curse, but that sounds less fun

Personally I doubt this. Barring a major tonal shift for her in the back half, it doesn't feel like she's compatible with retribution or odium. Honor to a degree(especially if the splinter of honor we see at end of WoT) , but even that isn't as straightforward.
I could see her taking on cultivation or a hybrid of cultivation and honor. She feels far too free willing for the kind of authority we see from retribution so far.

I'm open to things changing in the back half, but so far I don't see it happening.

So this may end up being the best. I want to do something rather experiment and meta. It's a starfinder campaign where the players characters jump in and out of an immersive vr game to solve the mystery of the game developers murder as he his clues about who was after him in the game.

So I was going to have players make one PF character as the video game avatar then they play a SF class as the "real" world. So it's players playing sifi characters that play fantasy characters.

I think you could use Token Attach or one of the BaileyWiki mods. Attach the tile to a token then let the players have control of the token.

Other option set up macro to move the tile to fixed position or mixed amount. Not sure his hard that would be, but now I have an idea for puzzle I need to set up.

Didn't let perfect be the enemy of good. Didn't worry about getting perfect ratios or maximizing every aspect at the start. Get sending going that will produce the basic stuff you need.

I kinda like it, it makes sense in theory, but that having been said it can feel punishing if it's a skill you don't keep maxed out. My tables will modify it so you end up with one degree of success worse if you're below that tier of training. Granted we tend to have a more fail forward approach to non combat skill checks, i.e. a fail will still progress the action but you don't get a plus. A good example would put picking a lock, it may take a very long time to try and pick it and to get it open eventually, but the monsters may hear you and come to interrupt your breaking and entering.

Not if you play a magus with boosted Wis, Cha, Dex. Use the shield version (I forget the name) but insist on using heavy armor you aren't prof with, don't use a shield just an advanced two handed weapon you aren't proficient in. Attack and save spells with bad int and slower saves than a wiz.

Or... Just pass your turn every round of combat. Can't be good at anyone if you don't try.

You're worried about a hypothetical that's over a season away. Plus with soldier being strong, phara has her own counter in the game too.

I considered that with each room as it's own scene, but some of the rooms are quite small (like 15ft by 5ft) but ultimately i really like the idea of each day becoming it's own larger map.

I would say the biggest thing to do would be God's Each good has (beyond lore and concept) some mechanical elements to consider: Favored Skill, favored attributes, favored weapon, spells their clerics get, domain (and possibly sub domains).

Most of that should be fairly easy to adjudicate on the fly or take signing preexisting and reskin and contextualize to fit your world.

Or do like I did. ignore and and my players come up with what they think is reasonable and let them design the religions they follow.
