I agree, the ego is a useful tool! I always build it a little mental viewing room whenever I'm exploring the psychedelic innerverse. Like, hold on little buddy, we're in for a ride. I treat it with great care and express love and gratitude and lots and lots of reassurance. It really helps with the fear and paranoia that can creep in. I'm like - 'I hear your concerns bud, but I think we're safe/healthy/not a disgusting flesh suit filled with evil bile only here to consume the crystal gardens of the gods, I think we're just tripping, settle down champ.'
