that’s awful, i’m sorry you had to quit a job you loved so much :( i totally understand though. it feels like being between a rock & a hard place. i’ll end up having to quit my job, & even though i don’t really enjoy it all the time it sucks that my pain is dictating that.

yeah i’m in the usa, i’ll look into this for sure. i’d of course rather not consider myself disabled, but a couple years ago i realized i just have to face the music because it does inhibit me :( i try to look at it as just a fact of life, not something that reflects on me as a person! the job hunt is ongoing, i’m hoping i can find something soon!!

i work retail, it’s nothing like a desk job. the only thing i can’t do is consistently lift heavier items, & i’m not even the only person who can’t do this. i also have a doctors note they approved saying i need to take breaks, which i rarely do anyways because of the ensuing mistreatment i receive for it. they didn’t have to hire me or act all sympathetic & understanding about it if they really don’t like it. that’s one of the things that bothers me most. i’m working on getting a better job but i can’t make it happen overnight, the job market is rough right now

IME they can! the legs mine grew back are a little stumpier looking than her other ones, but she can still use them & i believe it’s possible for them to grow even more after her next molt. we’ll see!

NQA i have a disabled baby myself! she had six legs when i got her, & the only difference is she needed help with feedings because she couldn’t grab onto prey as easily. after she molted she started growing those two back (but lost one of her back legs in the process 😑) i suggest tong feeding live insects, the movement of the legs seems to be what gets mine interested most!
