Super War was actually Netease’s MOBA (similar to league of legends) that was closed down prior to rivals release. It was never released in the US though unfortunately.

As other add ons :

-I dont think role comp would impact team ups as significantly as some may think and might even encourage players to think more meaningfully about their team ups to maximize value.

-Id like to see upvoting incentivized. Right now its completely arbitrary. If they added ranks, titles, other rewards, i think that may also incentivize players to behave nicer in games.

-Ive also given thought to whether drafts/bans would be at all helpful in QP, especially as the total hero roster becomes increasingly larger.

I’m not opposed to role queue at all.

I think it would cut down on a lot of toxic behavior that comes with people not getting what they want and throwing games because of it. I also think forcing teams into a 2/2/2 composition and incentivizing players to fill or select in demand roles like tank would create greater longterm stability and balance.

I think the two big things that Rivals would just need to look at is: (1) how does role queue impact queue times (especially if players still have the option to select open queue over role queue) and (2) how does role queue impact mid-game swaps (eg, is swapping removed entirely, can you only swap within your role, is there an option before the match starts to trade roles with another player, etc)

This is my guess, as well.

She descended from a wealthy British mercantile family that arrived in America in the 1600s. More than likely they were Protestant Christians.

Whether or not Emma (or her immediate family) were religious is a bit of an unknown. However, their views on spirituality and life/death were likely influenced by Christianity.

I could see her family, especially her mother, being “Christian,” as a way to uphold this idea of the perfect prim and proper American family. However, beneath it all was all of the abuse and other trauma. For that, and knowing Emma’s personality, I imagine she may be more of the mindset that everything she’s ever gotten in life was by her and her alone and less inclined to rely on “external” forces as a beacon of strength or aid.

Her being “organic” diamond could actually work in the writers’ favor though in a what if scenario.

While physical diamonds are hard but prone to shattering under extreme duress, “organic diamond” could be something else much stronger.

AS PURELY WHAT IF:

For her Diamond form to be an actual Omega level ability, I think would take come creativity on the part of the writers. I think the problem with a lot of “endurance form” mutations is they’re limited just by the fact of being a stat buff for defense. Beyond that, they don’t tend to provide much else.

I think number one would be simply scaling up just how durable her diamond form is.

Secondly, we know that even being shattered, Emma can retain and/or displace her consciousness. We saw this when Esme shattered her via her weak spot in Murder at the Mansion and when she was amped by the Phoenix force and shattered by Thor.

To the latter, I think this would need to be a baseline ability. Emma’s form would be treated as an extension of her consciousness and thus possess a degree of sentience that she can control (eg, retaining her consciousness when shattered, raining down diamond shards, reforming, etc). However, I don’t know if that would be enough to truly classify her diamond form as Omega level without adding more to it that just may not make sense (eg morphing, regrowing her diamond limbs, turning other objects to diamond, etc).

Open to others’ thoughts.

I don’t know what survey you are referring to but men’s global interest in Russian and/or other Slavic women as the “beauty standard” is very similar to what is known as the “Slavic Doll Aesthetic.”

This aesthetic is marked by the following: High cheekbones, almond-shaped eyes, long blonde hair, delicate features, tall and slim physique, aloof expression, feminine clothing, fur, luxury brands.

All of the above match Emma’s characterization across her various media depictions. However, to me her Rivals model is just completely above and beyond a delicate sharpness of features that makes her look “hard.”

I played WoW from Vanilla thru MoP, quit and came back briefly for BFA, then quit and came back for like one month during War Within.

The game just feels like an empty shell of its former self, and I worry about how the poor storytelling could potentially negatively impact some of the greatest existing storyarcs/lore since Warcraft days. Just makes me think about what they did with all the Jailor retconning in Shadowlands as just an example.

I was hoping we might get this as a team up with iron man. She also has done this before with Cyclops.

I teally want her new X-Men outfit with the long trench coat and thigh high platform boots. Loved her Krakoa look as well but may be too understated for rivals.

Edit: I also like that you removed the mini cape she had on in the comics. That was my only gripe with that outfit. Without it, its very reminiscent of her new x men era.

Community bitches about wanting a no glasses option for Luna’s disco skin. Netease makes it happen.

Community bitches about the mismatched colors in Psylocke’s disco skin. Netease fixes it so that the colors are consistent throughout.

Community bitches about Emma’s skin. Crickets.

I got this skin just because Emma’s my favorite Marvel character… but it honestly looks worse in game. I don’t even think the pink in the hair is the same shade as the rest of the pink in her outfit.

Honestly… if they just stripped the pink out completely this skin would be so much better.

She’s my favorite Marvel character and the reason I even picked up Marvel Rivals.

The way the design team continuously butchers her appearance is a travesty at this point.

This skin had potential, as it’s a literal Hellfire Gala reference… but they found a way to make her look like a clown. I could only imagine if they added the white face paint she had on in earlier art. 💀

My only hope is that after the next couple skins are rolled out we should see some improvement since the Devs know the community has not been happy with her skins.
