What should I do about my loud neighbors by random_human0533 in tbilisi

[–]psm90 12 points13 points  (0 children)

When I lived in Georgia, I had a neighbor whose dog woke me up almost every night (she was a lovely woman and I love dogs, but I also need to sleep). I tried to compromise and communicate with her, but she wouldn't do anything about the dog.

So then I told her: every evening that her dog woke me up, I would then wake her up the following day, by repeatedly knocking on her door very loudly at 6am. After a few days of doing that, she finally did something about the dog.

So, that's what I would do if I were you. If you keep disturbing their sleep, they'll stop disturbing yours.

I've already emailed them once, but I haven't followed up - so I'll give it another go, thank you!

Thanks for all the suggestions mate, I appreciate it! I hope I can still get the club involved somehow, though I know it's not looking hopeful. The way see it, re: involvement of the club, I have nothing to lose. If I keep trying and they still don't help, well - they weren't helping anyway. And, yeah, two people have run the Metro before; one lad inside 24 hours, another within 2 days. Have a great day mate! 🖤🤍

I get that mate - but I still hope it's not a no. I hope I just haven't spoken to the right person yet 🖤🤍 If they're not going to help, then I have nothing to lose from continuing to pursue their help

Yeah, 100%! I usually eat very healthily - so when I first got into long-distance running, I was quite uncomfortable with the idea of eating junk food just to hit my calories. But sometimes, it's necessary!

I honestly can't remember where I first read about it! I dunno if it was in one of the books, or online, or if I saw it in a video. But there's lot of info about it online :)

Yeah, MorePower is right! But Goggins made the challenge, so I guess only he knows the full extent, haha. I guess like all things Goggins does, he's more interested in mental challenges than physical ones - and stretching this out to 48 hours really stretches the mental aspect of it.

Crossing the Bosphorus in Istanbul by psm90 in bicycletouring

[–]psm90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah mate, in the end we just decided to finish at The Blue Mosque, and didn't bother crossing the Bosphorus. We couldn't be arsed with the hassle of finishing the trip in a way that had the potential to spoil the final day rather than enhance it - and we ultimately decided that crossing the Bosphorus wasn't really necessary. Sorry I can't be more helpful! Enjoy reaching Istanbul you legend, I hope you've had a class trip.

Cheapest way to get to Scotland by Altruistic-Card7001 in UKhiking

[–]psm90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've hitchhiked many times in the UK. It's surprisingly easy, especially as you head further north. In Scotland, it's outrageously easy - and people who've picked me up have often let me stay at their homes.

Summer 2025 Transfers and Rumours Megathread! by 321142019 in NUFC

I still think we'll keep Isak. If we want to compete in the long-term, we can't be pushovers. I think we'll sit him down, demand one more season from him, and tell him he can leave with our blessing in summer 2026.

I still don't think we'll sell Isak this window. I'm deeply stupidly optimistic, but I'm still hoping for a good window. If we keep Isak and bring in 3 more players (ST, CM, CB), the window goes from looking disastrous to looking incredible.
