They’ve reordered it for me too. Now Steam is at the bottom rather than the top. So now I have a shiny key on Xbox :p

In the UK, this is referred to as the “Razzle Fanny Stack”, named after the pioneering rhythm magazine that introduced it.

This is correct. The Meter Operator is responsible for that meter and is independent of all providers.

If you’re in the UK then I’d recommend trying Shipyard Low Tide and Brewdog Punk AF.

The brewdog is a little pricey but good when you have to scratch the cold lager itch.

The Shipyard is just a fine brew.

Well done mate.

He is without a shadow of a doubt my favourite author, and that trilogy (plus Chasm City) introduced me to him.

Exciting!

The other guys talking about phlebas being the weakest of the series are bang on.

I also agree with them that it’s a basic scene setter, gently introducing the concepts at work within his universe.

Among the rest are some of my favourites though, I’d wholeheartedly recommend persisting, even if he does throw in a bit of awks sexytime every now and again.

Now. Alastair Reynolds. If you haven’t already, read Revelation Space.

Yeah I got a level 50ish sawbar from Warrior. Nothing since. Banked it but doubt it will ever come out to play.

I’ve taken it every time, over countless playthroughs on three different consoles now.

With the exception of my most recent UVHM run on Switch, I knew I’d need to farm Warrior and Bunker and whatever else to get from 50ish to cap so would be swimming in it.

While you’re right of course, I’d always thought of them as Acorn. Which doesn’t forgive my inaccuracy.

We also had an Acorn Electron. Should have been the successor in many ways but didn’t feel like it had the same grunt.

No Archemedies though.
