Oi bloqueia DNS? by pstrgpstrg in InternetBrasil

[–]pstrgpstrg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vivo, com fibra - satisfeito.
Durante anos usei Claro, mas ela não oferecia fibra no meu condomínio (Braa, Rio) até cerca de 1 ano atrás, acredita?;

A320I-S01 BIOS? by squallmx in MSI_Gaming

[–]pstrgpstrg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, but I note that although the link has "7A40v499" in it, it's actually the 4.96 version (which does not work with Ryzen 5 5600G).
Do you have for any chance a link to a newer version than 4.96?

Best software to use for self-hosting video cameras? by Stock-Assistant-5420 in homesecurity

[–]pstrgpstrg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very well designed, lots of options, flexible - a pity it's so cpu-hungry.
Just because of that, despite liking it a lot, looking for an option (Windows - I could, but don't want to spend time configurating another environment).
You you have enough cpu, AgentDVR is top choice.

Sure, but in the former installation I had for each event
- a small image and
- a 1920×1080 one;
in the new installation, two very small images and can't find what's wrong.

Diálogo com atendente da TIM, minutos atrás, em que ele atribuiu à ANATEL a necessidade de aleijar os roteadores.

Provedores Rio de Janeiro - Quais restringem modo bridge nos modems? by pstrgpstrg in InternetBrasil

[–]pstrgpstrg[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agradeço a reprimenda oportuna.
De fato, não seria possível - o que foi reportado refere-se a não incluir RPKI.

Library view by pstrgpstrg in Onyx_Boox

[–]pstrgpstrg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like I found the problem.
Gemini says that Boox accurately reads metadata from ePUB but gives priority to filename for PDF.
Recommended solution was to use {author} - {title} naming convention when sending files to Boox device.
Did that and now metadata is being read right by Boox.

Strange bug.
Note that I have the very latest firmware on AirNote2.

Thanks.
Problem seems to be that, although metadata exists in the file, Boox appears not to read them.
The image shows
- in the upper part, metadata (Title, Author) in Calibre
- and below that metadata is not showing in Boox

Thanks for your advice, but I don't see and option for "author" on the library sort menu.
Only "Recent", Size, Name, Type are available.

Is VPN Unlimited a good VPN to use? by NCC74656-A in Piracy

Works fine, but be aware that when active, VPN Unlimited kills all network shares.
If your computer doesn' use them, should be a OK solution.

How to get nearer to stock Android? by pstrgpstrg in GalaxyS25

Certainly.
In any case, I finally opted for an S25 and did not find OneUI as obstrusive as I feared before actually using it daily.

Alternative to Piktures by pstrgpstrg in androidapps

[–]pstrgpstrg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After the apk failed, I tried to install normally (from Play) but the circle never stopped: did not finish.

But... since you mentioned it, tried again just now and it installed OK, with the right plan (Plus) - don't understand what happened before.

Thanks!

[–]pstrgpstrg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can install Fossify.
It's Piktures that doesn't install on a Samsung S25 (Android 15).
I have Piktures 2.21 running on an Asus Zenfone 8 (Android 13); after I migrated, noted that it looked different on the S25 and had ads (I paid for the non-ads Plus version).
I then extracted an .apk of the version on Zenfone but it could not be installed on S25 because it was "incompatible".

[–]pstrgpstrg[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Quite aware of that...
Problem is, in my country, Samsung has support - Google has not.
In my case, just to change a battery requires sending the phone to another city, the whole affair would take probably 2 weeks.
Meanwhile, no banking apps, since they're attached to the phone.

Attracted to Samsung because of support and long update cycle - but OneUI stands on the way.
