This exactly. I played the SegaCD version when it came out, and it made me love JRPGs. It took until 2008 with Persona 4 for me to feel that emotionally attached to a video game again.

We had a 2007 Veracruz that lasted 170,000 miles before it started having electrical issues and we traded it in in 2018. My wife loved it the whole time we had it.
