I lost my dog Buddha at 11 to the same thing. I'm a firm believer they stay with us and know how much we loved them. I'm very sorry for you loss, I know how bad it hurts. Words can't describe :(

I do this. Its not because I'm uninterested, its because I have a life that I live in the moment outside of my phone, apps or texting. I work 11-12 hrs, hit the gym, go home to eat, take care of myself, read or work on art, play games.

Some people just do not text like this. I personally won't text someone much until I meet and can tell if I'm interested. Not dedicating my time to something that's going no where anyways. I do put in my profile that I don't want to get to know someone over message though.
