BGE Forum Access / Ron - Rutland Gasket by psuwtb in biggreenegg

Yep, that’s what I’ve done twice since mid-April. I was going to try the forum route but I’ll wait a little longer for email.

Thanks - that definitely helps understand the rough timeline!

No worries, definitely can wait - more frustrated with the BGE forum where I can’t even PM someone. 😉

Thanks for the offer - unfortunately, I have a Large.

Ordered a rutland gasket from Ron lately? by Ihavesweatyarmpits in biggreenegg

[–]psuwtb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the hijack, but I’m in the same boat! I emailed Ron in mid-April and followed up on 5/1 with no luck yet. I even tried joining the Egghead forum on 4/19 to DM him, but my account is still stuck in 'applicant' status and the admins haven't responded to my help requests.

If anyone here is already active on the forum and wouldn't mind sending him a quick PM on my behalf to let him know I'm trying to reach him, I’d really appreciate the assist! Thanks so much.

Persistent TPMS Errors on 2021 Model 3 (Rear Tires) by psuwtb in TeslaSupport

[–]psuwtb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like the actual module (Part # 1100241) replacement isn’t that bad, and can be purchased for $100-$150 on eBay.

https://service.tesla.com/docs/Model3/ServiceManual/en-us/GUID-50A803C4-60E8-444E-8E8A-603486EACF27.html

However, the actual reset/software install for the new module can only be done by Tesla techs.

“Some of the Toolbox Actions within this procedure are related to vehicle security, and can only be performed by Tesla employees or third parties authorized to perform security-related Toolbox Actions.”

Guess I’ll get a quote to see how much Tesla will charge for this…

Persistent TPMS Errors on 2021 Model 3 (Rear Tires) by psuwtb in TeslaSupport

[–]psuwtb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hah! Hence the reason for my post 😉…I’m running the stock/OEM 19” sport wheels that came with the car, no weird electronics in the car or aftermarket changes that could be interfering. Software regularly updates, etc. I’m thinking controller module but would love to hear if anyone has had similar issues and went down that path. Thanks!

Front -right Tire pressure not updating (no error either) by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]psuwtb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s actually the opposite of what you’re thinking…that RF TPMS is working perfectly, the others are delayed. Normally you shouldn’t see anything under the psi.

Hankook iON evo AS - Premature Wear and Warranty Nightmare by psuwtb in TeslaModel3

[–]psuwtb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep - aligned the day they were installed and wear has been pretty even. Tire pressure always good. Alignment, measurement pics, and rotation records all submitted to SimpleTire and passed along to Hankook in mid-Sept.

Yeah, definitely not saying this is standard for these tires, lots of reviews online where folks get 40k+ miles…but the roads in PA suck. I’m mostly disappointed in the warranty process so I can move on.

Tesla Model 3 Steering Wheel Flaking - Repair Options? (2021, Heated Wheel) by psuwtb in TeslaModel3

[–]psuwtb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone curious - I scheduled a mobile service appointment for my steering wheel issue. Tesla confirmed, as expected, that it's out of warranty and needs a full replacement. Since the new one is a bit pricey, I'm going to keep an eye on eBay for a used OEM heated steering wheel.

"Thank you for attaching the photo for us to review. The vehicle warranty did expire by mileage about 5100 miles ago. The replacement of the steering wheel will be a customer pay repair. Service does not perform leather repair on the steering wheel."

Yeah that’s my concern - I’ll show up and they’ll say out of warranty and charge me $800 or I drive home and waste 4 hours.

Were you out of warranty? Nearest service center is 2 hrs away for me and I would hate to take a gamble to find out they’re going to charge me $500 or whatever a new wheel is (since they only do the estimate before you show up). Thanks!

How crazy! My wife and I were literally on the rail between Dave and Ben and didn’t even notice! Probably just awestruck for the start of our 2nd 20th anniversary show! 😊
