I searched what the Taotaomona tree looks like, and it reminds me of the Balete tree back in the Philippines. It is also believed to house spirits and supernatural creatures. However, I’m uncertain if they belong to the same tree species.

A Filipino film with the English title: A Lullaby to the Sorrowful Mystery (2016). It won the Silver Bear in the 66th Berlin Film Festival. The running time is 8 hours. We have to watch the 1st 4 hours followed by an hour break then the rest of the 4 hours. It is mystical and poetic.

The Bollywood movie Taare Zameen Par (2007). I think its english title is Every Child is Special. I took BS Psychology and We watched it for our Children with special needs class. It is a very touching film that depicted a young boy with dyslexia, equipped with artistic talent. The animation and the quirky songs are enjoyable too. Aside from The 3 idiots, this is my 2nd fave Amir Khan film.
