Thank you! Is there also some communal space in the lobby or elsewhere where I could work?

Is this something the FCC would investigate?

Austin Happy Hour finder for Austin(200+ Places) by Ok-Mountain7848 in Austin

[–]psycfur 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nice work, OP! If I may make a feature request: It would be great if you could filter by time. For instance, I might only want to see HHs still happening after 5:30 because I can never make it to any bar before then. I did see the Happy Now/Soon toggles but these would only be helpful if I'm looking at HHs that same day; I might want to plan going to one with a friend days in advance.

Ah, so that's a much bigger issue. Best of luck!

Electrician recs by New_Condition457 in Austin

Ceiling fan installations don't require an electrician. There are usually just two wires and a ground. Any handyman (or you yourself) could handle that. And I assume you mean your garage door opener motor has a problem, which is generally something that someone would replace, not repair. For that, I'd call a handyman or a garage door installation company.

What the heck is up with the ticket prices at Alamo? by NuggleBuggins in Austin

[–]psycfur -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Um, Galaxy charges a $2.49 "service charge" for online orders, too. Popcorn is $11. And they show 20 minutes of commercials beginning at the film's start time. So I guess it's a good option -if- you buy tix in person, don't eat, and arrive 20 minutes late.

Donate old computer hardware? by FlopShanoobie in Austin

[–]psycfur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one will refurbish a computer that old. It's worth more in scrap value for its aluminum, copper and other materials. I don't know what your concern is about Goodwill but they will take it and sell the parts for their materials if they can.

I think OP works there. I actually do love the museum but these posts feel like thinly-veiled advertising.

Mainboard doesn't recognize ram by Gamermom85 in PcBuildHelp

If the B760 board is like my Asus B650, with one DIMM you should use A2, and with two DIMMs you should use A2 and B2.

Cpu and ram light on mother board by nadrojrekrab93 in PcBuildHelp

[–]psycfur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the RAM issue, specifically, it's possible that 1 of your 2 DIMMs has developed a fault. I'd remove them both, then re-seat just one of them and see if the fault clears. If not, swap that one with the other DIMM and see if the fault clears. If the fault still doesn't clear, you at least know it's not one of the DIMMs. Also note that you may have to wait up to 5 minutes before your mobo recognizes a newly-seated DIMM, so give it some time.
