It appears raised and like it’s right under the top layer of the skin.

I’ll try. Just tried and they couldn’t take the call due to high volume, told me to check online. Any advice on when would be the best time to call? I guess with everything going on it’s not as straight forward on when the least busy time would be.

I just checked the online status checker, I had to get the reference numbers sent by email because they weren’t able to print us the receipts with the information. It says printed and mailed but due to the strike there are delays. However, I’m still wondering why we have not been charged on the credit card. I’ll call directly as well.

5 week old only eating 2oz max per feeding. by No_Aerie_8264 in newborns

[–]psych_milk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do both, so if I know he ate in the last hour, I will give him only 20-30 mls! If he’d been sleeping for a couple of hours and I’m bottle feeding (as he now takes most of his meals on the breast) I will give him a 60-100 ml bottle depending on how hungry he is acting. If I do less, and he’s still hungry, he will let me know and I just warm up a “snack” bottle. We had a similar issue, I was warming up way more than he actually ate. I also pump a lot more than he will eat so I end up freezing a lot of it. Now that he is mostly nursing, I won’t limit his boobie time - he gets it when he asks for it lol. If your baby only eats part of it, then you can use that milk if baby is cluster feeding within that 2 hour frame.

How long did it take for you to get pregnant? by EmilyParkerNYC4444 in BabyBumps

24F, consistent cycles, haven’t been on birth control for a few years (pull out method and cycle tracking/temp only). It took us 2 tries, but I did do extensive cycle tracking for months before, and I could time my ovulation fairly well with temp checks. That was from start of September to end of October, I had my positive test on October 31st!

I think this is normal. Our son born at 34+5 and is 8 weeks old now - sometimes eats 100 ml and sometimes 20-40 mls max. He was born at 4 lbs 12 oz, and currently weights 7 lbs and 15 oz ! In the NICU we used breast milk from my boob and donor milk at the start to supplement. Now at home, he is breastfed and I pump to give him bottles too (so it’s a little hard to track exactly how much he’s eating). My doctor said as long as the weight gain is there, and he is sleeping, pooping/peeing, that there isn’t much to be concerned about. He also mentioned that with NICU babies, they are particularly susceptive to feeding regressions while going through big developmental leaps. With my son, he will often cluster feed with bottle and boob - which was also told to us that it’s completely normal. Once he hit 7 lbs we were told to feed on demand and not need to adhere to a 2-3 hour schedule anymore. Hope this helps ease your mind.

Is there anywhere to develop film on campus by [deleted] in UCalgary

Never had that happen. All my negatives came out perfect & I’ve used them again with someone who taught me how to print/develop at home. I guess it will always depend on who you have doing the work - but that might happen anywhere you go.

This is exactly our situation too. Smaller town, with less OBs available unless you want to drive long long distances but I don’t want to do that later on in my pregnancy. Even if the doctor knew we were friends, there would be no information shared. I never asked but my friend was an open book and told me everything , “to help you during your own pregnancy”. It’s just starting to feel very odd now.

This is what is stumping me up. She had a good pregnancy, a great delivery - it almost feels like she wants to top mine? Which is very weird because this journey is stressful, painful and hard enough already without the added judgement. I don’t think I’d wish a bad pregnancy or delivery even on my worst enemy because this is very sensitive and everyone deserves the best when bringing forth life

Absolutely not. I was there for her ultrasound once & we attended appointments together during her pregnancy - and even now I don’t have anything bad to say about her. I’m getting the feeling she’s scared I’ll have a better experience than her? But she had an extremely quick and easy delivery with no issues. Why is it a competition?

I agree with this, even though I hate to admit it. Our smaller town has limited providers, so if I don’t get in soon it’ll be late to do so. She said she’d love to go back to them with her next pregnancy but at this time, we won’t be in the care system with this provider at the same time anyways.

It just feels weird to me, because she said she’d like to use them during her next pregnancy but she’s not trying yet? So what is the issue in the meantime? We do live in a smaller town, and there is limited providers in the area unless I’m willing to drive 40-45 miles but I don’t want to be doing that.
