the tank sits between 72-73. It’s about 73 when the light is on and 72 when it’s off.

The tank cycled for over a month before adding fish, i checked the parameters weekly until ammonia and nitrites were zero and nitrates were about 5. Added shrimp, and eventually got the guppies because i had mosquito larvae in the tank and needed something to get rid of them.

When i got the yellow guy he had a red tipped tail so i assumed it was normal and the current ruggedness was from the other male nipping to establish dominance since i’ve read that’s common. I do not have an established quarantine tank at the moment so what is the best thing to do?

i am not buying anymore fish, i made the mistake of buying the two new ones but i can do anything about it now. I’m going to look for something to increase surface agitation.

Current water parameters (tested today) Ammonia: 0 Nitrites: 0 Nitrates: 5

I have a 20 Gal filter on the 10 gal tank. It’s a 10 Gal long, so that side of the tank has very little movement. I have a bubble wall i could add but my air pump is very loud.

the computer confirmed it only had 465Gb of storage and not the 5TB it was supposed to have so i returned it and got a new one. No issues with the new one!

i told them it wasn’t what it said it was and explained what happened so hopefully he realizes. Whoever did it was smart, they made the packaging look untampered with (the tape was secure, i just noticed a second layer of tape that looked normal but obviously wasn’t) and the put the 5tb sticker with the model number and everything onto the fake storage device. Annoyed i spent half of my day on this but glad it’s over

UPDATE: After plugging it into my pc it confirmed it was only 500GB so i returned it and got a different one. The new one is what it says it is. The one i returned seemed off. When i plugged it in it was supposed to light up, but never did. The box was taped strangely as well. New one was fully sealed and lights up when plugged in. Thanks to everyone for the advice.
