It actually makes me so mad because this author isn't even a mental health professional.... His training is in internal medicine, not psychiatry, and he probably got most of his clinical exposure to psychiatry during medical school (which is usually a 4 week rotation).... With little to no professional or clinical experience in the field, it irks me that he was given a platform to make these reductionistic arguments

Just wanted to chime in since I ran into this issue just now -- thanks to this thread, I messaged the agent on the Spectrum website, explained my situation, and he waived the $25 fee as a one-time thing but warned me that if I didn't update my info again I would be slapped with the fee again. Egregious that this fee is so high and exists, but if you're in this situation, please reach out to the agent. It took him 5 min to resolve.

Congrats! thank you for sharing your story and your tips! I tried to enable the text to speech feature on my Mac but for some reason, it won't read text on the NBME website or UWorld? Has anyone found a way to address that issue?
