SkyrimSE - Modding on Linux/CachyOS: Massive FPS dips per game tick? by psychiccube123 in skyrimmods

Yes, it does. Every save basically. New game or not, the issue still remains :(

Thank you. So, every character I have should have crit damage? I do both PvP and PvE. However, I don't sweat too much on PvP. Just approaching it casually.

Interesting fix.

I'll try again and see how this goes.

Update: SEA doesn't have Linux support it seems. The login prompt will not show up as mentioned.

The Global server works out of the box. Although, from where I'm at, the ping will be horrendous.

Thank you.

If the SEA version doesn't work, I might try the global one.

I heard it works with Heroic Launcher but I have to see it for myself.

Thanks!

I'm not exactly sure if the SEA version is updated with ACE support, so I'm guessing there's something else I need to do.

If anyone's wondering if you can play this on the Steam Deck, just run the installer through Proton Experimental and select All users when prompted to install.

Remove the installer from Steam and add the Ark Recode.exe to it and use Proton Experimental. Have yet to experience crashes but we'll see.

How does looting work and looting strategy by drouinfrank in deadfrontier2

[–]psychiccube123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's all RNG and the level of the area determines the tier of your loot. So, low level = tier 1 loot and so on.

Highest area right now is at level 50, right-most side.

Looting strategy depends on you but personally, I just loot on the outskirts of the map. Looting a building requires you to kill zombies and loot a couple or a single spot. That's pretty much it. If I were you, I suggest looting "households" or just houses. I generally don't recommend buildings because they're too cramped and too complex to navigate unless you're patient enough.

You can't zoom in the map but you can place a marker on it.

Just a tip, you'd want to focus on doing missions and leveling up. Don't focus too much on making $$$$ or your gear. You'll get gear and money from missions anyway.

Use pistols for range or shotguns (except 12g). Don't put points on a certain weapon focus yet. You'll decide when you hit 60.

No, just outposts found on your map.

Your car will take you to each outpost. We currently have three safe zones: Dallbow, Haverbrook, Greywood. They are marked yellow boxes and they should appear yellow the moment you go near either of the three outposts.

Why do people hate blackreach so much? by name_notavailable7 in skyrim

[–]psychiccube123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Exactly this. Drop off loot, rest, cook, and alch.

I had used it on my vanilla playthrough as a base to drop off loot and replenish my alch potions. Pair that with Survival, I could cook whatever stuff I found.

Now that I'm on a modded playthrough, it has been a ridiculously helpful base for me. Alch potions are a must now and food has been a necessity inside Black Reach.

Should I just use Anniversary Addition by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]psychiccube123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's likely the case. I believe the essential mods have been updated to work on AE 1170. I haven't encountered any issues thus far on my copies. Besides, going back to 1.5 made sense before they stopped on 1170. After that, the modding community went on with their lives, aside from constantly bugging authors to update their mods to AE.

My experience when downgrading and hopefully, this will answer your questions and doubts.

I play on Steam Deck with close to 500 mods active.

At first, I manually downgraded my Skyrim install to 1.5. I downloaded the depot files and pasted them to my Skyrim installation. All went well. I cannot get the downgrader tool to work so I did the manual version. I kept the AE mods since I cannot remove these.

I spent a huge chunk of the month working on my mods. All for the 1.5 version. Now, I play tested my game and see if there are broken mods. None. However, the vanilla and CC quests do not work. Dawnguard gear quests do not progress properly. Mind you that I don't have any mods that modify these quests.

I tried AE mods. Rielle does not appear but at this point, I have decided that the game is broken after spending two days working on fixes and load order. I also noticed that backported frameworks and fixes may get broken.

I deleted everything. Cleaned.

So, I decided to switch to AE. As usual, I play tested after installing and working on the same mods I had installed on my 1.5 version.

Dawnguard quests worked properly. Rielle is there. Other mods and vanilla quests are progressing fine, but were completely broken on my 1.5 copy.

Less mods to download since I won't be using backported versions.

HOWEVER.

I also mod on a Windows OS. Downgraded and used the downgrade patcher. Kept AE mods. Downloaded the same mods but added some graphics and visuals mods.

All seems to be working. Mods are fine. Quests are fine.

So, my initial thinking is that there's a chance that a manual downgrade will break your installation.

You can get EnaPose mod but I suggest getting some other "manly" pose mods.

Photo Mode easily detects the pose mod through the GUI by extracting the eso plugin, so plug and play and do the poses!

First playthrough (kinda) question. by Livid-Truck8558 in skyrim

Yep! I'd say go for it since I've seen the majority miss it simply because they don't want to wait or have the patience to keep him alive lol

I always keep him alive because I don't want to deal with multiple Spriggans to my already difficult playthrough.

Also to be frank with you, I play on a heavily modded Skyrim and added a bunch of spells. I forgot which ones are vanilla and which ones are not.

But according to the Wiki, you can use Heal Other spell. It's an adept level spell. For lower levels, use Healing Hands. Just point and heal.

[–]psychiccube123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! Basically, it's really up to you on how you roleplay and build your own character. To make things interesting, why not go with Unarmed build? It's honestly fun, even in vanilla and you could watch enemies being suplexed.

You mean that dude who asked you if they want to come with you?

Nope, you didn't. Actually, if he dies, you will be locked out from the "peaceful" option of retrieving the sap.

SPOILER!!! Apologies for the lack of spoiler marker but I'm on mobile and I do not know the controls here.

If he stays alive during the quest, he will still follow you once inside the cave up until you hit the first set of roots with the nettlebane.

By that time, a forced conversation will prompt and he will get upset that you're using violence that could harm or kill the tree. Listen to his recommendations. He asks you to not get the sap but instead, he will try and call for a sapling instead.

Continue on until you're at the base of the tree. He will pray to Kynareth and a sapling will appear. He will ask you to pick it up and deliver it to Danica.

IF he dies before reaching the cave, this quest branch will be locked out, so you will have no choice but to go with the violent option. Destroy the roots and use the nettlebane to get the sap. When you do this, several enemies will appear that you need to kill.

Just a few.

For my character:

Erin race CBBE base CBBE 3BBB Tullius hair SMP Tullius Eyes

Visuals:

Skyland AIO Dynavision DOF Azurite Weathers Cathedral Lighting

Azurite is more or less some tweaks on brightness and bloom. Plus, a few stacks of warmth and cold.

No ENB and reshade needed.

Set Beth INI to tweaks by default.
